If you have not seen the latest advancements in advertising, seems that ads in Malls and Gyms and I guess, even supermarkets will soon be watching us and adapting to whatever audience the small camera in the ad sees looking back at it.

Sex wise, the picture of the person(s) goes to a computer which analyzes the person by cheek bones, gap between eye brows and fullness of lips to determine male or female --(we are gonna have some fun now!!! )

Deborah Mitchell, professor of Consumer Psychology says, "....even the human brain can't always determine gender......." well DUH!!!!

Shop on ?ladies? =D> =D> 8)

I for one, will be welcoming our new machine overlords, and will be happy to assist them in whatever way I can, to help eradicate the human resistance.

About Big Brother! I wonder if Big Brother is behind this "conversion Box" that a lot of people are going to need to watch TV.

No, I think the conversion box is being "pushed" from the Audio/Video Manufacturers. They're just not selling enough Plasma and Flatscreen TVs. #-o

I wonder just how the manufacturers talked the Bush empire into mandating the switch or how much they donated to the his last re-election campaign. The result for them should have been a surge in sales of the new TVs and a real payday. They are all crying about the economony and slump in sales, so doesn't seem to be so if you can believe them. Too
many folks on cable and sat. distribution, I guess. My main TV is only two years old, and I am not planning on replacing it until I move to Alaska, whenever that may be.

The switch to digital is 12 years in the making. From when they first pronounced that TV was going digital. So it was Clinton that set this in motion. The FCC mandated in 1997 the year I graduated high school that on Feb 17 2009 all TV's would be digital. So no one can not say that they did not have warning. Human nature being what it is a lot of people wait until the last minute.

Gaven's right. The issue is bandwidth. They are running out of room with the old analog signals, so this had to happen sooner or later. The developement of digital tv.s just made it possible. The emergency response people, police, fire etc have been salivating over some of that bandwidth and will be taking it over as soon as the switchover is made. This is actually a case of someone in the government acting with judgement and foresight. They are protecting infrastructure. =D>
