My new breastforms
Hi girls,
Because I wear my breastforms 24/7, I tend to go through a lot of them. Most of them were damaged not while actually wearing them, but cleaning them. Because I use adhesive spray and wear them full time, that means a lot of adhesive to remove.
In any event, I need a new pair at least every year, sometimes more. I have however become an expert at repairing them. I don't use the repair strips as they are too hard and ruin the softness of the breastform.
But all that aside, I got my new breastforms today from the Breastform store, which is where I have always bought them. I got the Gold Seal Premium Attachable Asymmetrical Breast Forms. As the years have gone by, I have seen the quality improve continually. Softer silicone and double backing for those of us who use adhesives. But this pair I got today are the softest and most natural feeling breastforms I have ever had. The nipple is more naturally shaped and the way it's filled, feels very much like a real nipple. And they are incredibly soft, no lumpy feeling as you squeeze them.
Because I use adhesive my breastforms come up to my body temperature and because they are firmly attached a pushup bra will create a natural cleavage on my own skin. When on my back they flatten and lean towards my armpits just as real breasts do.
In short, These are the best breastforms I have owned and at a third of the cost of Amoenas, I believe they are the best breastform on the market. Plus, the breastform store gave me a discount as a previous customer and I got free shipping. If all that were not enough. I ordered them on Friday and got them today, with no special shipping.
No, I don't work for them and I am not doing this to drum up business for them. I am just really happy about the results and wanted to tell all of you that may be on the verge of buying breastforms.
Love always,
Elizabeth

I got my first pair of Breast Forms last fall. I got them from the Breastform store too. They are also the Gold Seal ones. I agree, they not only look real, but feel real too. Even my wife commented that I look a lot better using them than I did with the enhancers I got from WalMart. I don't always attach mine to my chest, but on special occasions I will. When I do, the feeling is assume. The weight and pull is like real breast and too have obtain cleavage using a push-up bra.

Elizabeth you and the others mentioned gluing on your forms. Years before I began hrt, I used breast forms. I tried the adhesive that was available at the time, but was allergic to the stuff (latex allergy). I was curious if they have ever produced an alternative?

I too am allergic to latex adhesives as I found out at my last hospital stay. Believe it or not, I do not use medical adhesive. I had read a post by a chemist that also happened to be transgenedered that said there was nothing in these spray adhesives that was harmful, but insisted he was not endorsing it or saying it was safe.
I will pass the same disclaimer on to you. I make no warrant that it's safe or that you won't die from using it. But I use just regular "Duro" brand spray adhesive sold at Walmart. I wear my breastforms 24/7 so I have it on me all the time and have been wearing them continuously for three years now, except when showering.
I have had no side effects whatsoever. No rash, no peeling, nothing weird. It doesn't even look all white like when you remove a bandaid.
The great advantage is I have them firmly connected to my body so even though I don't have nerves in them, I can tell when they are being touched because the energy is tranferred to my skin when they are pressed or touched. Also because I have them on all the time, it's changed my posture, how I eat and drink and everything else I do.
Now, again, I am not saying it's safe, just that it's been fine for me and I am allergic to latex adhesives. Use at you own risk.
Love always,
Elizabeth

Thank you Elizabeth. I will pass the information on to our couple of "newbies" in our support group that are quite awhile from growing their own. With your disclaimers, of course.
My friend Julia has developed all she is likely to, and has health factors that make surgery just for cosmetic reasons chancy. So she found a set of Aomena forms that have little disk like things on the backs that adhere to her body, but without any other adhesive. She can even go braless and wear a strapless dress and halter without difficulty. Of course she does have some of her own growth for the cleavage part...... The cost of the forms was about $550 a pair, but they were a close out at the local 'Just for Women" store and she got them for half that, but is having a hard time finding new ones (has worn these daily for three year). Not sure they are still being made.
Amusing story. 6 months ago I was thinking about a BA. My original natural breasts were full "A" cups (there from my weird genetics) which despite their size were Tanner Stage five. When I increased the hrt intake, a secondary puberty began and now I have naturally a "B" cup, but Tanner stage 3!! So, they are kinda pyramidal in shape and overly perky in the nipples. It is unlikely they will do much more and widespread on my 43 inch chest, so I consulted a friendly plastic surgeon, and he loaned me some forms to wear in a bra for "body mapping". He sent his assistant to pull the forms in the size he wanted and she brought some back and we postioned them in the supplied bra. They seemed huge!!!! I felt like Dolly Parton and then some!!!
Turned out, he told her the size he wanted me to be, not the size of the augmented form to add to my B cup, so I was wearing an EE cup!!!!
Reminded me of the terrible and old joke of the enthusiastic agent who came into the office of the empressario touting his wonderful new act. His client, he claimed, had a 72 inch bust!!! The empressario got excited and wanted to know what she did. The enthusiasic agent said, "She kinda crawls out on the stage and kinda totters up as long as she can....."! Yeah, a moldy and baddy.
Love, Carolynn

Perhaps we are keeping the Breast Form Store in business. I just ordered my first pair from them. I have had two sets of Pals and with the right bra, they do fine, but the ?no name? set that I also have that I have been using with the Breast Form Store's double stick "V" adhesive work even better. They sprung a slight leak so that is why I just ordered a set from the BFS. I can't say that I have ever read any negative comments about the BFS so I am looking forward to their arrival.
As I posted before, the tapeing sure does widen the amount of clothing that you can wear. No bra really can make a difference especially in the spring and summer wardrobe.

WEll the forms that I ordered from TBS came today.
Not what I expected. In comparing them to my other set, the "cup size" is about the same (the BFS are a #7) but what shocked me was the volume, they are almost twice as volumous as my others. The others were expensive but not near the total volume. I think I will still be able to wear these new BFS with a "C" cup, but they are much heavier and just as I said have much more volume. I am considering sending them back for a #5. As I said setting the two side by side the "height" = cup size is almost the same, but the sheer volume and weight of the BFS makes me wonder if the tape will actually hold them in place.
Will post results later.
Keep the faith ladies,

I can tell you that the tape will not keep #8's on, which is why I use spray adhesive. I wish I could afford those expensive ones that stick with no adhesive, but that is not too likely. There is a pretty big difference between the #7 and the #8 in size and weight so I am not so certain you want to jump two sizes. My experience was that the #7 was a large B and the #8 is a large C. But of course, that was on me. So it depends on how much smaller you would like them.
Hope that helps.
Love always,
Elizabeth
