the Concert

Remember, back in November, I mentioned that SL and I bought tickets to the "Celtic Woman" concert which was scheduled for June 5 here in Roanoke. Well, they came and Virginia and SL went.
The concert started at 8:00pm so we got to the Civic Center by about 7:30. Someone had to use the ladies room before we found our seats and the line was at least 15 long out the restroom door, so I chose not to stand in line and just sat and waited for SL.
We found our seats and enjoyed to concert, but compared to the presentation on television and what we saw, I'd give it a 7 out of 10.
Some specifics, we were the two best dressed (probably over dressed) ladies there. Now I am not here to start a war again about how people present in public, but (give me a break!) I mean, tank tops with jeans and those "crocs" at a concert! Pathetic, I saw maybe two or three other ladies who had on a skirt or dress AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!
Anyway, SL wore a very nice long tight semi-formal black dress and I had on a dressy, summery dress with matching jacket. We looked great!
Shortly after intermission, I had "to go" so I squeezed down the aisle and out of the auditorium. What amazed me was the number of "staff" wandering the halls, cops and stewardesses and stewards and other miscellaneous folks. I would venture to say I passed 40 - 50 support staff. Did not get any kind of questioning look from anyone. (Remember, head-up, smile, confidence and just do it!) I went in the powder room, did my thing and came out and walked back to my seat!
The entire time, the only looks we got were the good kind. Like, "those two girls are "hot!" or from the (dare I say) under dressed females, a few "sneers" of "well, don't they think they are something?"
We had a good time and did enjoy getting out amongst "the great unwashed" and I mean that literally in some cases.
"Go forth woman and BE!!!!"
Love,
Virginia
