A small adventure

Things have been going well with me and my new SO PepperAnn(signed up and awaiting approval). She has been with me as Jennifer and she is having no trouble with it. I do remember to take baby steps and go at her pace.Thing is her pace is sometimes faster than mine.I really believed that this would never happen to me.I am very glad to have been wrong.
Other than two quick car trips I havent been out and about since December 2004. That changed last night.We needed to go grocery shopping but I hadnt had much time to be Jennifer and didnt want to change.So we decided to drive fifty miles(at about 11 pm) to an all night grocery store.With me as Jennifer we did our shopping and then drove home.I still cant believe it really happened.I was wearing jeans,a purple tank top and a grey blazer(forgot the camera).No one seemed to give a second glance and I didnt hear anyone running and screaming. I do consider it a success and a step to going out on a more regular basis.I couldn't have done this without PepperAnn and I am so glad she is in my life now.

Jennifer, I am soosssoooooo happy for you!!!! See, I think we have been telling you that there would be someone out there who would accept Jennifer and Voila!!!!! PepperAnn!!!! I hope you two have many great and wonderful adventures together!!!
Did I miss it -- if I did I apologize, but if I did not, please tell us how you two met and all the details.
BUT..................... 50 miles at 11pm to go shopping, uh!? Well, whatever works!

Hi Virginia,
We have actually known each other for a few years. I had told a common friend of ours about myself who latter told PepperAnn.Our friend let me know on a few occasions that this didnt bother PepperAnn. I really never thought much about it and we all stayed freinds.
Then while you were offline I hit bottom,really hard. I knew I had a choice to make.Thankfully I choose to pull myself up(Thanks to everyone here for helping me find the strength to do so).And I did.
After clearing the surface(so to speak) and feeling so much better about myself I decided to put myself out there again and take a chance.Then one day our friend mentioned a concert we could get tickets for(Def Leppard,Poison and Cheap Trick).When she mentioned that PepperAnn was thinking of going my heart just lit up and I realized how I felt about her.Taking only a few weeks to work up the courage I asked her out and the rest has just been amazing.

That is such good news, Jennifer. Isn't grocery shopping enfemme fun? Haven't done it in a while, but it was one of the first things I did.

Love that things are better for you...every small adventure is a huge thing. We all go through ups and downs, and the downs can be bad. So, its UP for you now

Hello Jennifer: Sounds great!! I've been grocery shopping many times now while in drag and I'm really not nervous about it any more-- it really is kind of fun!! (A lot of the staff at the neighborhood GIANT know me now-- some have been quite supportive).
I get a kick out of doing "normal" things while I'm "dressed"-- makes them more fun and exciting.
I even go to the comic book store near my apt "en femme!"

Hi everyone,Thanks for the kind words of support.I went out shopping again last night with PepperAnn.I am trying to get her to write about it from her point of view. I will say that we did go into two stores and that it has been a big boost in restoring my self confidence.
