Last night PepperAnn,myself and our two closest friends went to a rock concert.I really wanted to go as Jennifer but one of our friends has not seen me dressed but they both know.So out of respect for his feelings I went as my male self. The one difference was that I wore my dark wash bootleg cut femme jeans and some high heel boots and a unisex t-shirt. It took awhile to talk myself into going thru with it,with my SO's help of course. So when the time came I walked out the door dressed mostly in Jennifers clothes with my heart in my throat. It became so much easier as the night progressed.
Our friends and PepperAnn were very supportive of me and they did watch out for me. My first really big step came at the concert as it was still daylight and everyone could see me. I recieved a few glances but nothing was said.I just kept telling myself that I was doing nothing wrong and that I had every right to be there.I relaxed and enjoyed the show.
The next big step came afterwards. We were hungry after the concert and went to eat at one of our favorite restaurants.Again a few stares but nothing was said. I was informed by my little group that Jennifer will be included more as we all get used to that part of me being around. Last year at this time I was hitting bottom,I am glad everyone was here to help me get thru that as I now feel like I am on top of the world.I guess its true, you should never give up hope.

Glad it went well and you had fun. We all do what we are comfortable with. But some times a push from a trusted friend or SO helps us to stretch our comfort level.
