A GREAT time!

SL and I attended our monthly Tri Ess meeting last night in Blacksburg. Fortunately we were going against the traffic as it seems Va. Tech stomped some ne'er do well team for North Carolina 38 - 10, but I digress.

The meeting took place at a Salon in Blacksburg and the owner, Brenda, and her assistant, Kelli, were doing make-overs for us and there was a professional photographer there to take pictures. We had pizza and everyone looked so nice, and I got to meet someone that I had been dying to meet and she told me some "interesting" things about one of our sisters here on the forum who I will not name, but she knows who she is.
It just endeared me more to her! I have suggested that perhaps we have one of our meetings down her way in the future.

For those who may be interested, Donna, et.al., the next meeting is here at our home on the 19th of December. We will be serving Italian, anti-pasta, perhaps some vino so anyone here who wants to come to our mountain is more than welcome, seriously, just let us know ahead of time so we will have enough food and a good time is promised to all!! Just PM me or SL and we will work out the details with you. You need to understand on the front end that our home is a work in progress, so deal with it!!! :P

Love you all,

Virginia

Wow, I'd love to go to your party, but I'm going to be in DC that weekend. :( Sounds like you had a great outing! I don't root for the hokies, I root for the team that's named after you...

Thanks, Lisa, I know from whence you come. Quick story and you can put 2 and 2 together! =D> I played football in college at Tennessee Tech. I got a new roommate in the spring of my freshman year. Seems he had gotten a full scholarship from a school somewhat similar to Virginia it is in Tennessee and it is called Vanderbilt  Anyway, he flunked out and all he told me was "gheesh, they actually expected me to study there!" [-X

Love ya,

Virginia

Is this a Tri Ess meeting or just a party?

Zari - The December get-together will be primarily a party, with just a few minutes devoted to a 'meeting', but nothing serious. You're welcome to join us, Zari, you can even hike on our 6-acres of upslope, if you'd like!

Lisa - We're sorry that you're going to be in DC, we'd love to have seen you again. I don't root for the Hokies, either . . . it's Maize-and-Blue for me!!

This does sound like fun, Virginia, and I wish I were within an easy drive. However, it's more than an overnight, last time I tried it. (Which was I-40, 26 years ago. Oakland to Cincinnati, basically)

All of you have a good time up on the mountain, OK?

Look, I was only 17 when those pictures were taken, I needed the money. :D

I wish I could have gotten up that way with Angela. Wife & kid issues.
