I think they gave up, still not saved

New experiences can be fun. A few weeks ago, I was helping my SO set up a hall for our first annual T holiday party, so we stopped at a store for ice. While she was inside buying the ice, I opened the back of my van to get the cooler ready and two Jehovah Witnesses came up to and did the spiel. Now, I was wearing a holiday dress and looked as best I could, and they asked if I was going out (well, duh) . Anyway, chatted with them for a bit and they were nice (trying to save me which is hopeless). I’m sure they clocked me but didn’t say a word and I was sure I was gonna get hit by a bible or stacks of booklets. So, it was another interesting interaction with unexpected people. BTW, our party was nice and the ice lasted til the end  . I’ve posted one pic of my ugliness at the social and just love getting out and meeting all the girls.

Well, I could have used them up here to help me dig my truck out of the ditch!

We use to call them MOB's = Mormons on Bikes! They were on bikes, I would assume. I have only had a couple of run-in's with them but I have never heard of them approaching people on the street. Guess I lead too sheltered a life.

I guess you have to admire their persistence anyway. Did you invite them to the party? Think of all the potentials that would have been there and the education that they would have gotten. Boy, the stories they would have to tell!!!!

Party on ladies,

Virginia

Hi Phyliss
Sure was..kinda caught me off guard, but I'm very polite, so chatted with them. At least I didn't get a stake through the heart  But it is funny in a way, at least one of them always wears a dress I adore, so it was fun. And thinking back now, Virginia.....I should have invited them to the party also....that would be a blast! I will say they kept their cool and just tried to save me, so... a roomful of girls might have done them in  Anyway...hope all of you had a good holiday....errrrr..a Merry Christmas.
Go forth girls, its ok!

Dee'ster,
You've given me an idea!!!

Next time a couple of them knock on my door, instead of turning the dogs on them, I'll just run and slip into something femme and invite them in!!

What fun that would be.

Rikki you've reminded me of when I was about 9. As I was going out of the house I told the two American men in suits just to go in and that my Dad was in the living room. I'd gotten a little way down the street when they came running out of the gate followed by my Dad wielding a stool along with his black Labrador barking her head off. It turned out he'd been asleep on the couch. He was not very pleased with me.

One day we came out of the grocery store and as we started to put them in back of the car, this couple comes up and offers to help, chats with us, and then we left. At first I asked the wife if she knew them but she said she did not, so we figured they were either JW's or LDS;s.
