Tri-Ess Cruise

Post by Virginia »

Tri-Ess is planning to hold their annual meeting on a 5 day cruise ship departing New Orleans, October 30? - Nov 4, 2010. Two port stops and some what appear to be good group rates on the ship from $369 up to a balcony suite for $539.00 plus applicable taxes. They also have a $109.00 a night rate at the New Orleans Embassy Suites for nights before and after the cruise. You have until August 15th to pay your $200.00 deposit per person; the rates are per person and include $100.00 credit to use on the ship.

I went to HEF 2006 and HEF 2007 and they were a blast. I am sure that the HEF 2010 Cruise will be a blast too. Some of my Tri-Ess sisters have taken cruises out of Galveston, TX and said it was great. All of the other passengers treated them very well. Also the Houston, TX chapter knows a Travel Agency that sets up Trans Cruises every year.

BTW, you DO NOT have to be a Tri-Ess member. Any TG person is welcome.

I'd never be able to afford that :( By the time you add in flights over and so on!

Jo Ann,

I am not much of a joiner and have chosen not to become an active part of Tri-Ess, I did meet with a member here several years ago and felt very welcomed, so if the cruise is open to all then can you give a little insight as to the pro/cons?
Warm Regards,
Jamie

Since it is a Commercial Cruise-line Cruise, there will NOT be any of the normal activity that one would see at a HEF event. That is NO vendrs, Semiars, and etc. Instead, the ship has given us a Hospitality Room. Other than that, the cruise will be just like any other cruise except most of the Tri-Ess members will be en fem the whole cruise.

There is a travel agency in Houston, TX that arranges Trans Cruises every year. The HEF 2010 event will be basically the same thing.
