I go shopping at second hand stores by myself and look for beautiful dresses and blouses.....I get emberrassed as hell, but when I find a beautiful article worthy of saving, I buy it and take the red face in stride! I happen to have a sunday dress and blouse fettish, that centers around a very feminine look. I love pretty buttons and just great looking well made classic feminine dresses. What about you all? What gets you going at the second hand stores and ebay?

I've got a thing for that style as well, 80% of my wardrobe wouldn't look out of place in church on sunday, or on a librarian, telling someone to 'shhhh'.

I hate it.....I'm a rather big guy with a big ol' ZZ top beard. Plus I live in a very small town that I grew up in my entire life....42 years! Always afraid I'll be buying something and bump into a construction buddy.........I love to collect those type of dresses too! I have well over 200 of them. Yup! I'm a heaper. Got a bedroom nearly completely full of womensa dresses, blouses and coats, as well as vintage girdles by Crownette, I bought new, still in the packages back in the mid 1980s!!!

I look at what my girl friends wear for inspiration, usually things that are flattering and hide my stomach.

I've discovered that after 23 years of marriage my taste is actually sort of like my wifes. I've been known to buy a dress for myself at a tag sale and then give it to her as a present instead.

I like long comfy skirts and in the warmer weather, sleeveless tops sort of like tees. As for what I like in winter for tops I'm still trying to figure that out. Usually it's a sweater or else a long form fitting top with a guy flannel shirt or fleece over for warmth.

My style however is pretty schizophrenic to tell the truth.

Nice to hear about another guy with a beard. I shave mine some years for halloween but that's the only time, and I start growing it back the next day.

Christopher I like second hand stores myself. As for being embarrassed I am not. But I also do not shop in our little town we live in because everyone knows everyone or knows someone that knows you. So for my wife and kids sake I shop out of town. Small towns are great to live in but hell to CD in if you live in it.

But interestingly I have CDed in many little towns and have not had any problems with the conservative attitudes. Guess my shopping money is good.

I go to secon hand stores with my wife Kelly Ann and she mostly gives thumbs up on clothing I try on.Some clothes.I do get ideas from my wife too.Some of my clothes I order which I love.I love my collection of Susan Graver clothing,very comfortable and easy to take care of.

Taking you far more seriously than you intended, first I look for fit. If it won't fit, there's no point adding it to the heap of things I already have that won't fit. Bust, waist, hips. Seems like hips are never a problem.

Next I look for damage that would be hard to fix (missing special buttons, broken zippers, or three-corner tears).

Next, I look for skirts that are full, such as circle skirts, or princess-seamed dresses, or fully pleated skirts.

Last, is it a color or pattern that will go with anything I already have? I have no cyan and no fuchsia and almost no orange, for example.

Lace, ruffles, feminine.

What I am looking for is a mixture of the act of buying and the clothes. My last purchase was a turquoise top and a grayish blouse. When back in the car I immediately put that last one on for the drive home.

Smart, feminine dresses and skirts that fit properly!

I love feminine clothing, especially satin or poly, it feels so good on. I have not found a specific skirt I must have yet. I do like what my wife wears. I do not fit her waredrobe but it give me ideas. I wanted to get a sweater and the other day we were at Kohl's and I saw a nice cowel neck sweater, but could not get it. maybe this weekend I could sneak and get it. I do love wearing silky panty hose too. This all makes me feel more feminine. That is what it is about

Fit is more important now than it used to be. I had taken a class in basic dressmaking, and would often take in a dress when I found one I liked but which was too large. I didn't have any talent, and it took a long time. So now I'm a lot more particular about the off-the-shelf fit.

My little fetish is a zipper. If two dresses are otherwise the same, the one with a back zipper wins. Same for skirts and pants. Of course, the pants gotta zip on the side. I haven't found any shorts that zip.

Another peculiarity: I'll take a ruffled hem over a small split on a skirt/dress. Long splits (up the thigh) aren't my style at all.

I too, love to wear dresses that zip up the back! What is it about that anyways?
