To Shave or Not to Shave

To shave or not to shave, that is the question. I must confess that every summer for the past several years has been a time of great ambivalence for me. For someone who secretly wears an item or two of women’s clothing, this is not an issue. Likewise, but for the opposite reason, for someone who dresses en femme much if not all of the time, this may not be much of an issue. But for those of us who dress en homme a significant proportion of the time, and who would prefer to wear shorts when the temperature gets into the 80º to 90º range, the question, “Do I want smooth-shaven legs?” has no easy answer.

Do any of you girls ever angonize over this kind of issue? How do you handle it? :(

My husband shaves during the cold months, shaves everything. In the summer he lets the leg hair grow back so he can wear shorts, swim without drawing attention. By October he will be shaving again. He is jeleous that I can shave all year round. He says summer is no fun. I told him if you want to shave then shave, just have a reason ready when people ask (friends and family). He does keep it trimmed to a pretty flat state.

Jamie Ann:

Are you refering to legs or hair on other parts of the body. I for one took along time before I shved of my beard and mustachi (something I have always had since I could grow it) and now I seam to be a little freeer in my way of thinking.

Hi Jessie,

I am concerned mostly with legs. Although I experimented with facial hair many years ago, I have been clean-shaven for quite a while. I use a beard trimmer on arm hair, which shortens it enough to avoid a “hairy” look, and I do not worry about hair in areas that normally are covered by clothes. My biggest concern is leg hair, which I really need to remove to look my best en femme, but there are persons at work and elsewhere that I am not “out” to, so having smooth legs in the summer is a concern to me.

Its going to be my first summer with hairless legs in about 20 years. I've worn shorts twice so far, and as a couple of the other gals have said--No one has batted an eye--. I must say that, I do feel like I'm stickiing out tho. Signed up for a few tans at one of those skin cancer places, hoping that tanned legs won't show as much-N

beauty,i know your scared.start by wearing shorts around the house.
then go outside a couple of times.take a drive somewhere,stop at a
park and take a short walk.soon it will seem just so natural to you.
you'll discover that keeping your legs shaved full time helps make
you feel really feminine. good luck.

Hi Karen,

I started to post before I did it, but I decided to wait. :)

I took out the garbage (wearing shorts). lol! Then I walked my doggie (still in shorts). :)

That's the second time I've been outside of the house in shorts with my legs clean shaven. You're right. I just have to do it! [-o<

Thank you! :)

oh beauty,
thats so cool.doesn't it feel nice having the breeze caress your legs?
i love that feeling.going shopping in shorts is also very exhilarating. i
think that it's kinda neat seeing all of the ggs with their legs shaved,
and realizing that mine look the same.spend the whole day out in shorts,
go to the zoo or a craft fair.it is just so rewarding.the more you go out,
the more confident you'll feel. bunches of hugs, karen.

Ok Girls, here goes this blonde - rambling!
First = who the H... cares whether or not you have hair on your legs? If it is your SO - well you might have a bit of a problem, however, the general public can kiss my pretty little butt. Do you actually think someone will come up to you and ask why you have no hair on your legs? Arms? chest? whatever? OK so they have the gonads to do that! what do we say?
1. Ain't none of your business!
2. Bite Me!
3. It fell out because I have a highly communicable disease!
4 I am an athelete and my sport ________ requires that I shave.
5. I was born this way - what's your excuse for your stupidity?
6. Thanks for noticing, must have been something I ate!
7. I think it is something in the water around here.
8. I have hair you just can't see it!
9. My wife made me do it! She thinks its sexy!
10. I am a cross dresser so again - bite me!!!

For the spouse problem? I am kind of at a loss. Like me you may participate in a sport that would warrant hair removal. Biking, swimming,
body building, powerlifting (did I say that - powerlifting- works for me!); bowling - might be a streach; hiking?; how about tornado chasing! chess? naw that would not pass muster; soccer, tennis, close!; ah the biggie - GOLF! maybe the upper body, helps with the rotation, cuts down on the friction?? Professional suntanner? might work!
Botton line if you can get by the SO - Girls - JUST DO IT!!!
Love,
Deborah

LOL!!! ..rofl..

I love it, hon! You don't pull any punches! \:D/

I totally have to agree. In all honesty, no stranger is going to care about the lack of hair on your legs. In fact, neither my father nor brother-in-law have any hair on their legs. If I weren't a CD, I really wouldn't stop to think about it. [-(

Come to think of it in almost 32 years, I've never seen hair on my father's legs! Hmmm... :-k
