This has been an exceptionally good month for me. A couple weeks ago my wife and I went on a weekend excursion. Started off by going to the Wisconsin State Fair --had a perfect day 83 degerees and sunny-I wore a sundress and comfy sandals -- did all the usual fair things including visitng all the commercial exhibits and buying some cool jewelry, purses, cds etc --went and saw the animals, and enjoyed the food and beverages.
Went from there to our hotel and went swimming at their pool. Had a nice visit with some other ladies there swimming and playing with their kids and grand kids. Then off to the local casino -- broke even for the night and had a wonderful time. One of the guys at the table kept trying to flirt with me -- I thought that was funny as did my wife.
Had breakfast the next morning and then went golfing. Also very enjoyable.
I've had the opportunity to go shopping several times including going to downtown Chicago--followed by dinner and a play -- got to dress up for that one.
Later this week we are going to go up to Door county for shopping, golf, sitting by the pool and maybe spa time. We'll be there for five days
And the topper is that we booked a trip on a cruise for next winter/spring -- 7 days with no male clothes to be found. Plus we are on a ship with formal nights and that is something I am really looking forward to. Not many reasons anymore in our society to get really dressed up. I'm already planning and plotting on what to pack.
By the way, as you can tell -- I have a wondersful wife. In the four years since this has been out in the open to her, she has been exceptinally supportive. She actually was the one who suggested the cruise!
Anyways -- Im walking on clouds at the moment.
