Another couple shopping trips

I really have found joy and self-satisfaction in my androgynous look recently, not trying to dress fully and "pass" and not faking it a being "Mr. big guy", but going by instinct and feel in my appearance.
Saturday afternoon I ran up to Barnes & Noble's to get a few magazines and a book...requisite cap, beige fleece & olive drab women's cargo pants & brown flip-flops with a 1" heel...light make-up, but a little eye-shadow and bronzer too...burgundy nail polish on the toes...as usual, a few second glances and double-takes, especially the creepy older guy standing next to me in the magazine racks...he was looking down at the mags on the bottom rack and I noticed he was staring at my feet (AWKWARD!)...he then looks up at my face with a weird smile and almost whispers "hello"...I look right at him and go "not today!" and made my brisk exit to the check-out...of course there are like 15 people in line...lots of looks there, super-nice young mom with 2 little ones asked me what brand and color the nail polish was and made small talk with me in line. Thanks honey wherever you are!
Yesterday, ran up to big supermarket to get some things for dinner...different cap, red windbreaker, dark blue women's skinny jeans from Old Navy, flat brown flip-flops...good trip, I really don't think alot of people even notice I am a little extravagant, but I think I am beginning to get really used to being "out"...the only fear I have is any of my son's friends or family seeing me, so I don't go to the supermarket right by our house...
That being said, I am finding all of this to be so liberating after years of hiding...once the boy is older, he, my wife and I will discuss this, how I do not know, but once he is an adult and can rationally think about it, I know he will be good about it.
