A coincidence?

I had a dental appointment this morning and while sitting in the waiting room, the call came for "Susan Jones", I looked up from the book I was reading when a woman about my age stood up and went out. I had a quick smile to myself at that.

While I suspect that Susan Jones is not the most unusual name in Liverpool, I think you did pretty well not to get up and go into the surgery yourself

you should have stood up and started to walk in too
then stopped and muttered under your breath.... "oh, not me today..."
So then the next thing to happen is you will find out you have a double. Then we call the sci-fi writers

I like Davita's idea. This could have the makings of a great short story even without the double.
