What are the small differences in behavior that set a woman?

Hi Ladies.

Let's see how much of a list we can create to help us CDers improve our behavior as females while out in public.

What are the small differences in behavior that set a woman apart from a man?

1)He crosses his legs ankle to knee whereas the lady crosses her legs at her ankles or knee over knee.

2)When in woman mode, never slouch, or look lazy. When walking try to keep legs and feet close together, Keep your arms close to your body, don’t swing arms around heaps or look like your practicing your karate and don’t take big steps or try to walk too fast, act reserved. Hold your shoulders slightly up and back, try to stick your bum out a little, When standing don’t lean on things like your leaning against the bar at the pub with your straight friends. Arch your back a little and stick bum out .Other little femme mannerisms like slowly tilting your head when sitting and not blinking much can help, all this can take practice and can not be really taught, any passable CDer worth her salt, learns these things only by experience.

3)When women look at their nails, not their fingernails by the way, (a minor but significant semantic difference in vocabulary) they spread their hands out, palm down and nearly at arms length. A man will look at fingernails, palm up, hand sort of half closed in a mock fist. And usually fairly close to his body.

4)Bending Down A woman bends both at the knees and waist (knees together) to pick anything up from the floor. A man tends to bend mostly at the waist.

5)Women sit by turning slightly sideways, knees together, and then with their back almost straight, slowly, ever so gently, lower their body onto the seat. A man usually backs straight back, sticks out his rear and plops onto the chair.

Challenging isn't it girls?
Let's see: one thing I learned early on "keep your hands away from your face, except to apply or adjust your make-up."
A lot of GG's with longer hair brush it back, if necessary, with the back of their hand.
If a girl is interested in someone or something they tend to tilt their head slightly.
Touching on the hand or arm is very gentle.
Enough, this blonde is starting to get one of her (I'm thinking too much) headaches!
Love ya,
Deborah

One thing I've learned is that when women walk they put pressure on the balls of their feet while men put pressure on their heels. It not only changes your style of walking but also makes walking in heels much easier.

Hugs,
Stef

Excellent feedback ladies.

6)She is more comfortable being close to people(even to the point of touching other women or being touched by other women)

7)Her forearms rest on the table, not her elbows.

8)Her emotions have a more physical response, such as jumping a bit when she's excited happily, or moving her head when talking for emphasis

9)She yields to others when walking, and always makes room for others

10) She never misses a chance to look and smile at children, especially babies which she'll often talk to first before addressing the parent(s)

11)She is more tactile, touching things unless they're dirty or yukky

12)The heel of her hands rarely tough anything

13)When she puts her hands on her hips, women's thumbs are usually pointing forward(there's enough exceptions to not be a 'rule' though)

14)She notices things around her, especially what people are wearing. I once got clocked because of the long loose thread I missed on my blouse!

15)She's more easily embarrassed, and tries not to embarass others

16)"Thank You", "Excuse me", and "Please" are automatic responses, as is "I'm sorry" when she bumps into someone.
<This list could go on nearly forever, and I like the idea of seeing it all in one place for a change!-Penny T :) >

Hi Penny,
Someone has been doing their homework!!! Great points, one that I really never noticed before was the heel of the hand hardly ever touches anything. Now that I think about it - that is so true. This gets printed off and goes in my personal training manuel, Thanks,
Love,
Deborah

Keeping your shoulders back (which I think is posture like Vickie stated). The reason I posted this is because this morning I looked in the mirror and realized I was doing it. LOL
YAY!!! ^@^ *-* ^@^

Hello all,

This is a great topic and I have something to share with the group. Heels make all the difference. When walking, there is something about being elevated from the ground and walking around. Your hips seem to sway more and it helps keep your legs closer together. I've noticed this right away. Also, shoulders back and a great smile on your face will help too.

Love Suzzie (Q) *^^*

Yeah! Sisters!
The smile is critical. If you have nice white teeth and there are some good products on the market now that really work, that along with nice lipstick will melt the heart of the second biggest critic!
Love ya,
Deborah
