Disco Night!

I've been invited to an upcoming "Disco Night" being held by a major national museum to open their summer-long exhibit "Disco: A Decade of Saturday Nights" It's going to be a big deal where their main hall will be transformed into a 70's disco. Lights, dj who worked at Studio 54, VIP lounge (no real misbehaving though), food, bar etc. I really, really want to go, even though it's not local. I was around "back then" but can't figure out what to wear. I probably shouldn't crossdress-crossdress, but there should be a look that's "in the middle". Any ideas? Black spandex jeans would be great (if I can find some) and probably a pageboy wig. Thanks.

Is it the kind of crowd where you would be accepted CD'ing?

I think Spandex was an 80's thing,

but you could probably get away with it.
