Just got off the phone with the pastor from the church I just joined. She explained how she knew I was new and to help me feel moe at home and meet some of the oter members she asked me if I would come in tomorrow and help organize and price things for the church rummage sale this weekend. I was a bit apprehensive at first but she told me the other ladies were looking forward to getting know Kim so I am going. This is definitely gping to be a first for me, wish me luck!

This is a great step for you Kim. The fact the oter ladies even agreed to you helping is a sign you a least stand a chance there. I too belong to a UCC congregation and the all know I am pre-op and accept me as the woman I am. Have fun and try not to take anyting too seriously.

That sounds very positive and very accepting, it sounds as though you could really fit in here, and be able to worship in freedom and peace.

Kim, hug the pastor for us next time you see her. So how did it go with the church ladies?

It all went very well, thank you for asking Davita. The ladies accepted me as one of their own and I even helped out at the rummage sale last weekend. The ladies suggested I join the Bible study group that meets every Wednesday evening so I did but none this week due to the holiday. The group rotates meeting at every one's house so I will eventually have to hostess but not in the beginning. Wish me luck!
