That's great, congratulations!!
It's always a bit scary the first time out, but it's great fun. I hope this will be the first of many outings.

I got dressed at home, minus earrings and wig. It was dark when I left , but I was concerned about a neighbor seeing me drive away. I went shopping at Catos, I did not purchase anything, but I tried on 3 tops

I really want to try going out, maybe for a drive. Have to get my wig first. Guess I'm worried about my neighbors seein me, but I don't really care much for most of them, so that shouldn't matter. Would def be nervous goin to a store dressed for the first time.

you just need to put on your big girl panties and do it :P

I go out all the time now, and rarely go through all the effort to pass as a woman. A few days ago I was at the grocery store and the girl asked me if I were dressed that way on purpose. I wasn't sure what that meant so I replied, "well it's not an accident." Then she said that since I wasn't wearing my wig or make-up she didn't know.
So I don't know what all that implies, but I do know that very few people care at all if a guy is wearing womens clothes. They might be very curious, and I always try as best I can to explain it all, but almost everyone is cool about it.

It is a it scary the first few time you go out, then you begin to realise that there isn't anything to be scared about ~ as long as you are sensible about where and when you go ~ and you can start to relax and enjoy the experience. There is nothing quite like it.

Bobby, actually, IMHO, it is easier to go out in full femme versus a mixed mode. At least anywhere near home.

I agree with you Kimberly, I think it is easier, and also more satisfying, to go out wearing a fully consistent outfit instead of mixed mode. I always have the feeling, if I'm wearing only womens jeans or something, that I'm acting like I want to wear womens fashions without admitting that I am doing it. And then I think everyone else is looking at me trying to figure out "is he or isn't he". If I'm all dressed up then all of those issues go away, and the only thing left is "does a guy have an inalienable right, endowed by the creator, to wear a dress if he darn well pleases....."
But it is scary going out the first couple times. Allie, I would be more scared of my mom seeing me in a bar than I am of going out dressed though

I usually satisfy my needs to go out by going for a drive. I will sometimes stop to get gas or go through a drive thru to judge any reactions. Occasionally I'll go to a late nite convenient store but that's about all for me for now.

Sorry JoniT,
When I dress and go out I have to go and mix with people in the stores, and the truth be told it is the only way for me.

Heck I stood in line at my favorit watering hole one evening where they know me in drab but no one knows or knew Carol Ann *-* , believe in yourself hon and things are so easy. (--)

The first 2 or 3 times you venture out enfemme will always be a mix of scary and exciting.
Assuming those are first few times are fairly uneventfull then it becomes addictive and you won't want to stay in.
Hope you had a good time out. :D hugs.

First time out was nerve racking. My legs were shaking so much it was hard to drive. Now it's easy, no problem, I do mostly go out in a mix of male and femm. I never wear a wig in public and only a little eye makeup, I don't pass, don't try. And why would you care what your neighbors think. I am kinda new at this, I had only been an underdresser before, but for the last year and a half I have started dressing and going out, it's been a fun ride so far. For the most part no one really says anything about it. No one has questioned me about my choice of clothes. I have been stared at and I do get "looks", who wouldn't look at a man in a mini skirt and heels. I just go about my business, the other day I was walking to the store and I over heard a girl of maybe 12 say to her mother "that's a girls shirt he's wearing" I get a lot of looks from that age group for some reason. Anyway, get dressed up anyway you feel comfortable and get out of the house, hold your head up and walk with confidence, attitude is everything. If you walk around all mousy the predators will start to circle.
