It would be nice to go to something like this, wouldn't though?????
I've looked over the web site and it might be a lot of fun. Is someone from our forum going????? Would be great if a bunch of us showed up together. If not, what about some local gatherings for us to enjoy one anothers company.
Love Suzzie

I'll be there.....I already rented the 18-wheeler to haul in
my clothes
Scc was great in 2003, i was able to meet so many girls who I had
only known in e-space.....and everything was just done first class.
I'm sure the 2004 event will be even better
Bring your wives if you can, my wife had a great time, but she was hoping to meet more SO's.

Well, I have a Question. I would love to go but I am not sure that I am ready to go En Femme. Not sure about the SO as of yet either as she seems great but I am wondering if she still in shock about it. GeLinda.

I'm hoping I can make it! It would be so great to see you again Wendy!!!!
Gee, trust me when I say that you have nothing to worry about at SCC. It is the most liberating experience. You can be yourself without worries of being judged or being "outed" It's a hotel full of friends better yet sisters! There are also tons of useful seminars that will help you and your wife deal with the issues being raised by being CD. The best thing about SCC is the friendships that are formed there. There's nothing like sitting in the hotel lobby til 3 am discussing the many issues faced by living this lifestyle. (ain't that right Wendy! ##oo## )
Hugs,
Stef

Stef, Thanks but still do you have to dress En Femme as I am not sure of how to dress and war paint and a million other things. I do not feel ready but yet I want the knowledge I could get from it. It is on a Weekend is it not. Gelinda.

It runs from Sept. 28 through Oct. 02 You can dress how you wish. If you choose not to dress then you do not have to. They have a Big Sister program to help you with anything you need.

Thanks a Million Stef, You will never realize how much you help me in ways I can never explain. Sorry for being such a pain in the rear. Gelinda.

I agree and you will see me either at the Registration desk or as Door Monitor, which I'm in charge of doing this year. I'm on the SCC Planning Comittee. And if you're not a member, join up with the Southern Belles(
www.southernbellesociety.com) The reception we have at SCC is our biggest event of the year! SCC is a rather unique event in that we interact with the general public in reverse...They're the tiny minority when we're there! This year will bring several changes including a TG Filmfest, a different stage layout, cheaper prices on the Shopping Trip, and the Grand Finale Dance will be downstairs this year. This year's theme is "Hollywood".
Last year, there was a bunch of teenage cheerleaders staying at the hotel, and while a few of them didn't seem to like us much, all were very polite and civil. Two of the Chaperone Mom's from that group sat with us in the elevator lobby(smoking area) for 3 hours Saturday night, where we discussed everything TG and more, and we made a very good impression on them. I'll bet their girls won't have problems with TG's after that! There was also a Lawyer's conference one morning, and again a few took the time to speak with us and learn about what being TG means.
SCC is probably the biggest TG event in the world. Last year's estimates on Saturday night were near 1800 TG's in the hotel, and over 1200 registered. SCC is a must-do and everyone should go at least once. You'll never regret it afterwards!

Hi Penny,
Incredible numbers!!
You deserve to be on the committee because of how clear you were about the event.
LOL.. about Cheerleaders.

I went to a Sci-Fi convention in mig Kig mask (Japanimation) and they were having a LaCrosse Championship at the same time. Yuck!
I do have one question. Were you saying that this year there will be one day where the hotel is rented out to someone else (lawyers)?

Hi Beauty,
The hotel is not rented out exclusively for the week sweetie.
There is really no way of telling who else may be staying there during the conference.
If you get a change to attend, I know you would have a blast.
Hugs and Kisses,
Wendy

Is there anything else you can tell me about this? It wasn't listed in the "usual" film festival listings (this is something that I sort of "monitor") or I overlooked it.
