Dinner out!

Well one of my girlfriends was in town last night so the three of us went out to dinner at my favorite Chinese restaurant. I think I got "sniffed?"
I went to the buffet and the "cook" was there at one of the steam tables absently cleaning the tray slide and just looking around at the crowd. He was standing in front of the BBQ spare ribs (that are delicious by the way). He watched me walk past him and I stood at the other steam table until he moved. He moved to the end of the steam table, so I walked up to where he had been. Now he was virtually right next to me but at the end of the table. As I was gathering two or three of the smaller ribs to my plate, I saw out of the corner of my eye, he leaned forward and briefly "sniffed" my hair then went back to the kitchen. I stood there for a second wondering, what the heck just happened!?
TOTO we are not in Kansas any more!

Are you sure it was your hair and not your perfume dear?.

Well, there's a certain symbolism to sticking your nose in a woman's hair...

OMG my mind went racing with that one Anthony, but you're right. And Virginia, perfume or not, clean hair smells good and some hairsprays too (but not so much). I don't think I can get any of my synthetic wigs to where I can get a sniffer to come over. Would be nice though

Well, someone did indeed have his eyes on my Virginia . . . but any untoward advances from that creepy dude would not have ended well for him.

SL,
I'm sure it would not have, BD would be saying the same thing. Donna is right, that's the first time I have seen that here.

I am having second thoughts about having even brought this up.
It was no big deal. Since time in memorial guys have been (what is a good term?) is "hitting on?" no! He did not hit on me, just no big deal to me other than as a woman deep down you may not express it but you like and for a lot of us accept the attention UP TO A POINT! We all draw the line as to where it stops being "flirting" and turns to harrassment or other UNwanted attention.
In this instance, it was just weird and maybe it is a cultural thing with orientals, who knows. I know other girls, first may not have noticed while others would have been offended and taken it to the next level but for me, well I think back on it now and I just appreciate the attention. As a lady that was the end of it. It is not likely in a very public setting like that he would have taken it any further in any culture. If he had it would have become whose Kung Fu sensi had trained their pupil the best.
Don't dwell on it, move on and "GO Forth Woman and BE!"
Love,
Virginia

I'm sorry, Virginia. It was foolish of me to assume that is what happened. I'm sorry.

Sounds like a sense of humor is the appropriate response. Otherwise, what's the percentage?
maybe he went home and fell asleep dreaming about you
