My wife and I have enjoyed the pleasure of a monthly pedicure for many years, with an occasional manicure as well. We always get the full deluxe spa pedicures, and as you know they are sooooo relaxing. My wife gets a pretty color (which I usually pick out) and a nail design on her big toe - it looks fantastic every time. I usually just get a clear coat and all is well.

However, to my delight, while we were in Texas visiting family over Thanksgiving we decided to go get some manicures and pedicures at a local salon . . . and this time I was getting color!! On my fingers and toes even!!!! I was so excited and happy!!!

She picked out my finger nail color and I picked out my toe color.

Even though the salon was horrible and the "deluxe spa pedicure" wasn't very deluxe or special at all, it was a great experience because I was doing it with my wife - my love, my partner, my rock!

Wow! That is so great!

I hope to have this same experience someday too. Only had a regular clear coat one

That sounds like soooo much fun. I’ve been fantasizing about having the same experience with my SO.

My wife picked out a very cool, dark grey (almost black) so it was kind of like a hard-rocker look. I loved it. It did get many glances and questions, but all was well - especially my wife was always there to say "how cool it was". She's awesome!

Now my toes, were a very pretty purple - I loved them

I get mani and pedicure every 3 weeks. but always by myself. I wear clear acrylics on fingers and a nice red on my toes. I agree it is very nice to be pampered.

I had my 1st Pedi a couple of weeks ago, and it was wonderful! My lovely wife goes to a very small salon with one very good nail tech, unfortunately she is booked up all the time so I went to a new salon in town. My old feet were quite a mess, so bad that my calloused heels were wearing holes in my nylons. I had been trying to smooth them down and had been using creams etc with not much improvement.

So off to the salon I go with all my understuff on and a pair of black loafers on with my jeans and sweater. For my 1st time I really got lucky, the nail tech that worked on me is a lovely young lady in her mid twenties, we had the best time joking and laughing. I told her I was a total noob and that she would have to tell me what I needed to do, which she did.

The absolutely best exchange that we had was when she asked me which of the ladies in the shop was my wife. I asked her why she asked that and she replied that a number of men came in for a pedi but they all were escorted by their wives. I told her that I put on my big girl panties and gathered my courage and came in all by myself. That broke her up!

When she finished, she asked if I wanted polish, and I asked if it was included in the price of the pedi, she said sure, so I said well then I must have the total experience! She asked what color? I asked her if she could match the blue metallic of my 1939 Ford hotrod which was parked outside. She took a quick look and came back with a bottle of polish that I could use to touch up my paint chips. So I left the shop with dark metallic blue toenails. My wife loved them!

I already have an appointment for next month with her.

Sorry for being sooo verbose... but it is so nice to be able to share some of my experiences.

It's always so nice when you find a shop that does a good job and makes you feel special and welcome.
I haven't had a mani or pedi for a few years now, but reading all these stories is getting me to think I need to go have one.

I am very envious of you lucky ladies. I do not think that I will ever be able enjoy this treatment; with wife or not.

I can read in your posts the pleasure you receive from this beautiful personal treatment. Congratulations to all.

If ever and when I would start going out I can't think of anything nicer to do than to have a manicure and pedicure.
