Rainy day me time

Woke up this morning to a cool cloudy morning with a threat of rain. I knew my work day was spoiled but there were some things around the house I needed to do. I was thinking about the cleaning and sorting through papers and book work I had to do and decided I would feel much better doing those things if I had on a dress. I took a shower and shaved, my legs too on whim. I got out some undies and my forms and proceeded to get dressed. Picked out my maroon maxi dress to put on and got the flats I recently bought at payless.

I'm a early riser so because my wife is still sleeping I tried to be quiet as I could. I cleaned out some old catalogs from suppliers and got rid of them and piled all that book work I have been off up to get ready to start on it. Then I decided I needed to have some breakfast first. I got out the apron which says life is sweet on it and put it on because I can be a messy cook. I fixed some eggs and had some cantelope and a whole grain english muffin.

I hadn't put on any makeup because, well it is the middle of the week and someone could call or stop by so while I can rush enough to get out of my dress taking off make up would take to much time. After breakfast though I though what the heck a little lipstick couldn't hurt.

Just really enjoying, as I always do, doing these tasks while enfemme. For some reason they don't seem so... well I will say tedious.

So as I sit here writing the wife has gotten up and she walked in and looked at me, gave me that eye roll thing she does. She says she needs to go shopping and since the weather is keeping me from working I can go with her.

A cute story and the words on your apron say it all: "life is sweet".

I also find that doing those annoying tasks that one always puts off, is more pleasant when wearing a cute dress. A person needs something nice to balance out the irritation part of the work. And rainy days are good for that.

I hope you had fun shopping and bought some nice things. I haven't been shopping in a while, but I'm planing a big spree for after I buy my new house.

I'm hungry and I need to clean some dishes and prepare some food.
But, as always, I'm putting that off because it means going to the kitchen, where I can be seen by other people.
So I'd need to at least take out my breast forms and probably change completely.
But I don't want to.
I really don't want to.
It must be so good to be able to be yourself in your own home.

BTW, what did you mean by her doing that eye roll thing?
Does she disapprove, but at the same time, try to accept it, because she loves you?
Or did she mean, you should've put on some make up as that would have completed it?
I'm a bit confused by that.

Alexia,

The eye roll thing is a bit a joke between her and I. I didn't have on any makeup, she never ever wears makeup, and didn't have my wig on because it was hot and humid and it was uncomfortable. So she is like if you are going to girly be girly not half way.

Ah, so I wasn't that far off.
And good, because that was the better of the two possibilities. :)

I thought this was such a nice post, Sarah Beth.

Alexia, one of the things I sometimes do when I'm fully made up and wig and everything and have to go to a room with a window looking out is to take the wig off and stick something over the clothes - like a baggy jumper or coat.

Loved the story. As was mentioned I too find it less tedious to do house chores/ cleaning when I am enfemme. On those occasions when I can wear my maid outfit, I actually enjoy it.
Did you go shopping enfemme?

As for Anthony and Alexia, if I had to worry about people looking in my window and seeing me I would get curtains.

Thank you all so much for the kind words. It isn't often I get a chance to do thing like that so those days get to special for me. I have family in town and neighbors and people to stop by so it's hard for me to just get dressed and enjoy like that.

Phyliss ,

No I don't go out dressed. I did one time last summer and didn't think I would be seen but ended up needing gas and it all didn't go so well. I don't know if I would ever have the courage to go out alone shopping or anything.

Well, I'm not that worried Phyllis, to be honest.

There are curtains on those windows, but they're not as effective as they might be. I have once been in that room fully dressed with wig and black negligee and did get seen from the street. I made eye-contact with a woman walking along and she just smiled at me. So I guess I must have passed - like I don't suppose she'd have done that if I hadn't.

Most of the time I don't really like that sort of risk, but sometimes I do. That's actually the only time I've tested whether I could pass or not - albeit at a distance.
