CD for CDing

A GG friend and I were discussing music to put one in feminine frame of mind to crossdress. She recommended Joss Stone's "The Soul Sessions" and I have to agree. But what if I were putting together a mix CD? There was an earlier thread which discussed crossdressing in music. The difference here is that the songs may or may not have anything to do with CDing. Here's my list (not complete):

Keep On Dancing - No Doubt
Fame - David Bowie
Bitch - Meredeth Brooks
Get The Party Started - Pink
Are You A Boy Or A Girl - Imperial Drag
Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac
Sex (I'm A...) - Berlin
All I Really Want - Alanis Morisette

What would you put on your CD for CDing?

Angie :)

How could you not include Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel Like a Woman"? :)

Hi Angie.
A GG friend and I were discussing music to put one in feminine frame of mind to crossdress. You asked; What would you put on your CD for CDing?
And then there is always I am always in the mood - by Darlene Adams. <-->

Barbara, you're absolutely right about Shania! I thing I'm going to crawl under a rock for that omission. #-o

Darlene, yes that pretty much sums me up too, but a little music never hurts! :)

I don't always put on music when I'm dressing, but I have been assembling a track list for a couple of CDs for my feminine frame of mind. I say two discs because some of the songs are slow, ballads and such, while others are faster, dance and other styles. There's more stuff on the fast list, but I've been working on that one longer.

SLOW
Don't Know Why, Norah Jones
Uninvited, Alanis Morisette
Building a Mystery, Sarah McLachlan
Riverwide, Sheryl Crow
Sanctuary, Madonna
Over the Rainbow, Tori Amos
Drops of Jupiter,Train
Beautiful, Cristina Aguilera
Home, Depeche Mode
Let Me Touch You for Awhile, Allison Krauss & Union Station
Blue, Seatbelts w/Mai Yamane

FAST
Ray of Light, Madonna
Suede, Tori Amos
And So I, Etheric
Change, Sheryl Crow
There Goes the Neighborhood, Sheryl Crow
Good to Be Alive, DJ Rap
Boomerang, Cirrus
Train, Goldfrapp
Feelin' Love, Paula Cole
Beautiful Stranger, Madonna
Gold Dust Woman, Fleetwood Mac
Battle of Evermore, Led Zeppelin (or the Lovemongers cover from "Singles")

I know, there's a lot of the same artists, and a lot of weird stuff. I can't help what I like, and I like a LOT of different kinds of music. I was once disqualified from taking a survey on popular music because my tastes were "too eclectic". Go figure.

I have a long list of songs that I love to listen to when I’m fully dressed. I’ll try to limit my list length, but I find these songs to be so much fun that I may get carried away!

Ladies night – Kool and the gang.
Boogie nights – ? (I can’t remember who does this one)
Cutie pie – One Way.
The best of my love – Emotions.
The Clean up woman – Denise Laselle.
Sing a song – Earth, Wind and Fire.
This will be – Natalie Cole.
Mr. Big Stuff – Staple Singers.
You make my love come down – Evelyn Champagne King.
Anything by Al Greene.

All R and B, I think.
When I’m in guy mode I usually to listen to blues (guitar) ala Stevie Ray Vaughn and Robert Cray.

Hi all,

This topic has come up before somewhere. It's always fun to see what folks are listening to. Lately, I've been laying tracks on my XBox hard drive. My favorite one for quality girl time includes these songs:

-- Dark-Eyed Kid; William Orbit
-- Twice Removed; Ronnie & Clyde
-- Glory Box; Portishead
-- Deep Silence; Monica Ramos
-- Carondelet; Ruby
-- Rain; Tones On Tail
-- Flowers Become Screens; Delerium
-- Boadicea; Enya
-- Erasure; Sin
-- Salt and Velvet; Brainbox
-- Eye; The Smashing Pumpkins
-- Swoon; Mission
-- Slide; Junkster
-- Fall (Abstract Gladiator Mix); Single Gun Theory

None of these tunes are really TG-oriented but they do set the mood for me. A lot of them are "old-school" trance and techno stuff but, then again, I consider myself an "old-schoolgirl"! :P

Love,
CJ

The first song that comes to mind for me is Lou Reed's Take a Walk on the Wild Side

"Plucked her eyebrows on the way, shaved her legs then he was a she..."

Hi all,

I'm older (53) and among my favorite music to listen to while dressed is the 50's and 60's girl groups - Chantels, Shirelles, Ronettes, Crystals, etc.

Also during evenings, sometimes my radio is tuned to the syndicated Delilah show.
