Independence Day...

Hi! I just thought I would tell you all about my day... it truly was independence day for me.

I got up early, ran some bath water and shaved my legs. (I finally figured out how to get a good clean shave on my thighs... that's been bugging me for a while now.) After shaving my legs, I showered and washed my hair.

I went to breakfast. Sunday is normnally the day I allow myself to go a little wild so I ate out. After that, I thought I would get a pedicure and manicure. I noticed my nails were really brittle so I figured a little attention couldn't hurt them. The nail shop was closed when I arrived so I went shopping for a while and returned around 1:45 p.m. I got both the manicure (no polish) and the pedicure with clear polish. (I figured I normally wear shoes so no one will really notice the polish.)

After that, I went and bought a cute little pair of sandals with about a 2" heel on them. I bought these really cute embroidered dresses down in St. Martin so I needed some sandals in a neutral color.

I went to the mall looking for a matching set necklace, bracelet, anklet. (They are difficult to find so I will try QVC later.) No luck. I got something to eat and then headed home again.

I shaved my face this evening... really close. After shaving, I rolled my hair in curlers. (I mentioned trying this before. It wasn't rocket science but not extremely easy either.) After rolling up my hair, I started with the makeup. I did get a chance to work on it in St Martin but it's still not perfect yet. I'll be working on this for a while. After the makeup, I slipped into black panties and a bra and dug out my breast forms. (I had to stash them so the cat wife wouldn't find them when she visited. I also didn't want the cat sitter to find them.) After all this, the dress... it's a reddish color woth embroidery all over it. Then I put on a cheap necklace and anklet I purchased in St Martin. Now I just had to wait forever for my hair to dry.

After I was completely made up, I took several pictures. Some turned out pretty good. After pictures, I decided I wanted more independence so I went for a drive. I went to a park but it had a bunch of teenage kids lighting fireworks so I got back in the car and drove home with the top down. I tried a different hair style and took more pictures.

Now I sitting here in a pair of shorts and a top posting this message. Soon I will go take off the makeup and head to bed.

I will post my pictures as soon as I can find my cable to get them from the camera to the computer.

This has truly been a good independence day for me. I need more indepenence days... soon!

Later,

Brianna

Brianna,

It sounds like you had a great 4th. You are certainly a lot more adventurous than stay-at-home me.

I would certainly like to see your pictures when you post them. You are fortunate to have enough hair to style  . My head hair is pretty much gone.

Kristen,

I didn't realize that you live so close. I haven't been up to Greeley a lot... just once to see my favorite musical of all time... Jekyll and Hyde back in 2000. You have a very nice theater there. If I knew what was playing I would be more likely to visit.

After a trip to downtown Denver to try on a corset, (they ordered the wrong one for me,) I headed towards home which is actually in Aurora. If I am in the mood for an upscale experience I usually head to Cherry Creek Mall because it very near by me and close to where I work. I'm not really an upscale kind of person so I was slumming at the Buckingham Mall and the Aurora Mall.

I'm really kind of new at crossdressing. Even though I have been interested for a long time and had a few experiences growing up, I really didn't do much about this desire until very recently. Actually, I started posting here about the time I really decided to pursue this interest.

I know that there is a group in Denver. I believe it's a branch of Tri-ess? I used to see notices of the meetings in the Westword. If you need more information I can probably locate it.

Thank you for the compliment about the picture. I sometimes wonder about my appearance and as I said I am very new at this stuff. I am fortunate that a friend is very supportive. I discovered that it's very difficult to take pictures using a timer on your camera. I also was trying out a few features I was unaware of and some worked okay... others not so good. I bought myself a small tripod for next time. I may have my friend take some pictures too. I found that in the rush to get seated and posed, oftern I was showing more leg than might be considered proper.

I'll post more later,

Brianna

Hi all,

Brianna,

I just wanted to chime in with Kristen, here, and let you know that I also think your avatar is great. What a difference a smile makes! (this is something I'm trying to work on, too--I don't smile enough). One thing I would suggest is for you to try to "lighten" the photo. I know indoor shots are tricky sometimes; the lighting conditions aren't always the best. Once you have a pic on hand, though, send it through a graphics program (doesn't matter which) and lighten it up. It's especially in the eyes that we can get a sense of who a person is. Still, great photo! 8)

Love,
CJ

Brianna, You must be talking about the Union Colony Civic Center, It's a very nice venue. I worked there for 3 1/2 years, met George Carlin , Roy Clark, George Lopez, Tim conway, Harvey Korman, Pete Fountain who very down to earth people. also met Bill Cosby who was not nice at all. oh well he did't like greeley much either. Woked alot of major shows and all the performers have raved about the building , stage and lighting. Here is the web site for uccc. http://www.ucstars.com

Brianna, Sorry got lost putting that web site in. New at this stuff. If you ever want to come up for a show, you can certainly stay at my apartment. Or at least we could meet for diner before the show or after.
I would really like to see the Drew Carey improv group, not sure when they will be here but I will be threre. I think he's really taented and not gross or vular. ( see what a live show will tell)
The theatre is probably the best in Rocky Mountian region ,it was built by Hensel Phelps const. There are more capacity theatres in Denver but they don't have Grid that the UCCC has.
Henzel Phelps is the company that repaired the Pentagon before and after 911. Phelps donated all the labor and some materials for the theatre, like 12 million or so. Okay enough of the history of Greeley. Sorry I'm still proud that I worked in a production theatre. It was Kick just not enough money. well maybe we can meet sometime , I would like that. .......see ya in funnies...... Kristen
