What a fun day! Wifey away, so I'm cleaning and dusting in my favorite "June Cleaver" look: Pearls, pumps, and petticoats with a shirtdress and sheer apron. Housework can be fun!

Being a real woman is more than cooking, cleaning and looking pretty. My sweetie has done the same, experiencing ordinary chores while dressed up. With the garage door closed, she tried to work on the car. You know, regular checking of fluids and oil change that real woman do all the time. :haha: She quickly found out that boobs get in the way. Really?

So, dishes and vacuuming are her preferred 'lady' chores. I swear, I've never run a vacuum wearing pearls and heels. After some minor surgery, I told her that she has to do all the laundry for awhile as my medication warned against operating heavy machinery. ..rofl..

Rikki,

If you don't mind, I would just as soon not have you clean my house.

It is in such a state of mess that I would have to do a lot of cleaning
just to make it presentable to have a cleaning lady come in and clean.

I guess that means I need to get "dressed" (in more ways than one) and have at it.
If I get to the point where it is clean enough for you to come in and really clean it,
I'll give you a call.

You are more that welcome to come over to my house and have all the fun you want! rotf

To be honest I can never remember wearing heels and pearls a la June Cleaver to do housework however if that is what motivates you so be it. If you want to come and clean my house I could frankly care less what you wear as long as you get the job done!

Ha Ha I love doing house work fully dressed, but those clogs sure do wear me out going up and down the steps. I have yet to work on car or the lawn mower who knows that may come next.

Thanks all for your kind comments. I won't be available for hire any time soon but will put you all on my list.

As a note, I have moved down to 1" heel pumps for housework. Getting slower in heels lately, especially on stairs. "Old-Girl knees" I guess.

All the best,
r

Welcome to reality. Only on TV do women wear high heels and pearls. Even a 1" heel can make you feel feminine while also safer on stairs.

Requal to enjoys housework, including the washing and ironing, when she is about the house. But without the pumps and pearls.

Want some real sizzle? Try doing it in a French Maid outfit. Works for me!

I can't say the I ever enjoy doing housework, but it is much nicer doing it while dressed up than not. :)
And one more thing that I'll say for it, vacuuming, dishes and laundry are pretty much the only chores I could do while wearing heels and a nice dress (don't have any pearls, but I need some). Thing like changing oil or working in the garden - I'd be worried about ruining my outfit and wouldn't enjoy that at all. But I have a simple denim dress that is good for that, or capris and a tee is nice for lawn and garden work.

But one thing I do enjoy is washing my clothes. Most of my clothes I hand wash, they aren't exactly "dirty" to begin with and beating them with a washing machine does not make me happy.
Today I took advantage of the holiday and caught up on laundry, got ahead of the "just in time" clean clothes model. And I did really enjoy it, there is something kind of satisfying about spending time taking care of my clothes.

Now you sound like my BF

Let's cleaning the apartment is usually sweat pants and a t-shirt or a cami top and flip flops. I have found over the years the vacuum really doesn't care what I wear!
