Meeting Others

Hi! I have never had the chance to sit and visit with other cd's except on the rare occasion that I have to venture out to a local gay night spot that is cd friendly. Even then, it is hard to meet others and build much of a friendship. Perhaps it is because for many of us we know most of what we do must be done in secret. I would like to make connections with other cd'ers in in the Austin area to build friendships and on occasion to meet and share experiences and fellowship. If you are in the Austin, Texas area and are interested e-mail me. robinfemme@mail.com

Marda,
Thanks for the reply. I needed a good laugh! I don't know about the airfare, but I am ready to party on!

Hi Robin,

Actually I am meeting someone from this forum today. Neither of us have ever met another crossdresser and feel much as you do. I personally can't tell you how much I look forward to finally meeting someone like me. Someone in the flesh who feels, at least somewhat, like me.

Love always,
Elizabeth

Hi girls,

Just got back from meeting my first crossdresser. It was great. I wont say her name because I have not asked if it is ok. We walked around the mall, got some lunch, told each other our stories, talked about crossdressing issues, but mostly found another human being who understands.

I must say this was a great meeting and because of logistics we will not be able to meet again for a while, but I do now look forward to meeting anyone else who would be so inclined. I am really feeling happy. :)

Love always,
Elizabeth

Elizabeth, Questions, Questions, Questions???? So how long did you talk ? Were you infemme or drab? Was it not like your first time dressing , scared to death , but you kept on? I think this is so cool for you,!!! A friend. someone to confide in that knows you like panties , HOW COOL IS THAT? I am so happy for you. Was this a first for both of you? Accepting people for who they are and not what they wear !!!!! What a concept!!! CONGRATUATIONS ............Kristen

Hi girls,

Well, we met at the mall. I was wearing boy clothes with my girls sandals, some nice long and dangly earrings. and my fingernails and toenails painted metalflake pink. They are long and nicely manicured, if I do say so myself. A little pink lipstick, and a big smile.

She was wearing designer girls sneakers, girls jeans, and a girls shirt under a button up mens long sleeve shirt. No makeup, but one earring. We talked for about an hour and a half.

I was not really nervous or afraid, I was very much looking forward to it, as was she. Neither of us had ever met another crossdresser before. When we met we shook hands, but I pulled her into a hug. I don't know, it just felt right. and the feeling seemed mutual.

As an adult I found out my dad had a bastard son, who was about my age, who was my half brother. When I met him, it was like meeting any other stranger.

So when we met in the mall today, I can honestly say it was better than meeting a long lost relative. By far and going away. I felt an immediate kinship with her, and it seemed mutual to me. All in all, it was a great experience. I hope to do it again, and again, and again.

Love always,
Elizabeth

For those of you gals who live in more rural areas, I can really say that my heart goes out to you, and that you are all to be commended for being yourselves, despite limited resources that might be available to you. I mentioned in another thread that I had difficulty locating resources myself, but after enough searching & poking around on the internet I began to discover more and more information and resources.

As a NY gal, I now realize there are countless bars, clubs, support groups, and other resources available to me within a short traveling distance. I will admit that I sometimes take this for granted, but am grateful for everything to which I have access. To those of you who do live in smaller towns in more secluded parts of the US, I give you much credit. But I also feel compelled to say that if you have never been to NY or any TG-friendly major city then I highly recommend that you visit at least once in your lifetime. You will not regret the experience. @@9@@
