A little silliness this weekend

This Saturday my neighborhood bar, like many places in NYC, i hear, is having a "blackout party" (it's the anniversary of last year's blackout that crippled the North Atlantic states for a day). All the inessential electricity will be off, and the place will be run mostly on flashlights and candles.

Today I bought two of those "tap lights" -- they're small, dome-shaped, battery-operated lamps that you fix to a closet wall or a bathroom wall or wherever you need extra lighting, and turn on and off just by tapping the bulb.

How do these two paragraphs tie together? I'm going to the blackout party with the tap lights hidden in my bra.

Hi Barbara!!!! :)

If they get to dancing, you can tap 'em on and trip the light fantastic in a whole new way!!!!!!

Jassmine -- Thanks

Deborah -- I'll do my own tapping, probably when I take the mike (it's also karaoke night). I'll figure out some excuse about needing more light to see the monitor.

Carolynn -- I don't think this bar is licensed for dancing (& there's not enough floor space anyway), but maybe I can "tap dance"!

Sophie -- Not to worry. I already tested the lights, and they don't generate a lot of heat. And even if they did, I don't plan to leave them on all night.

Elizabeth -- My derriere is rounded enough already.

And I've already decided that I'm gonna buy a drink for the first person who says "No -- I wanted a BUD Lite!"

"Whoa, girl, your breasts are so bright, I gotta wear shades!" 8)

:-k Hmmm... perhaps a flashing belly-button light will complete the look, eh?

Have fun, Barbara. :P

Love,
