"wear it pink" day

Apparently Friday 29th October is 'wear it pink' day (in the UK at least) to raise money for the Breast Cancer Campaign. Details are on the website...

This seems like an ideal opportunity to have some fun and support a very good cause at the same time - not that I ever need an excuse to wear pink!
Perhaps we girls should maximise our pinkness and encourage friends and colleagues to join us.

We have a day here as well but I dont know if its a dress-pink day

I work construction and I can't tell you how many times I have worn a pink shirt to work. And I rarely get any comments. Now I feel I need to stress that the male me is the antithesis of Julie, outwardly, so maybe no one really sees my pink shirts as feminine (darn!) But when someone does make mention of it I tell them I am comfortable with my masculinity (now that's a lie!)

Well, I have this fabulous pink dress but, I doubt I will wear it to work. Once I'm home then yes indeed I'll change into it.
Hmm, have to go thought the wardrobe to see what else I have that fits the bill.

Much as I fully support all cancer research causes, pink is not my favourite colour. Earlier this year my daughter, sister and two neices all took part in a fun-run in aid of cancer.
We feel very strongly about it, since in our family it is the main cause of death. My mother has breast cancer, my SO mother died from cancer last summer.
Every form of support should be encouraged, and I dont think businesses do enough to encourage their employees to participate.

Diane, I thought of you yesterday morning, on my commute to work. I live about 30 miles from the rocky mountians, and I get a fantastic view as I drive to work. th foothills were burning sith pink light, I've seen it pink before but not so deep and not covering whole horizon. It was gone in about a minute, I thought I had film in my camera because I had a shoot after work, but i am in the habit of loading right before I shoot. film was in the trunk and I could not find a pace to stop. The pink light was so beautiful and was gone by the time I found a place to stop, but I thought of you, man Diane would just love this. Sorry i could not get a picture for you. I will wear pink for the UK, any day !!!!........Kristen
