Hia Ladies
I was wondering in which shops while dressed in your male attire you have picked out and tried on female attire in the changing rooms with the knowledge of the ppl in the store/shop. What your experiences and the reactions were, and if you got any or no assistance from any of the staff asked or not asked for. Also if you got any advice from any of the staff (i.e. what designs, lengths, colours ect. were suitable).

If any shops could be recommended that also would b helpful thank you.

One that seems to stand out is the Dress Barn! I know it was mentioned as a TG/CD friendly chain several times at the Southern Comfort Conference. For make-up call Merle Norman and ask for the manager and ask if they serve TG/CD? Most do and are glad to do it, but I would call ahead for confirmation and schedule a time. Ono of our sisters has found, evidently, a privately owned store that caters to TG/CD and would not that be lovely to find such a place in your own town?! I am sure my sisters have numerous other stores that they frequent thay are friendly.

dear pauline yes i have been to my favorite shops buying my female clothing dressed in drab,i have quite a few of them and they all let me try on all the things that i buy.now when i go to work (i am a vendor and i have a route )i dress all feminine under neath my drab work clothes.this lets me to be able to have my forms and my padded girdle on so when i try on i am practicly a woman.i have bought bras girdles and all my skirts and dresses,and some time the women in the shops even help me with my bra straps and fit them for me also.so that lets all who read this that there are very friendly people out there to help us,and i think its wonderfull.all my love phylis anne

Ive never shopped in Birmingham but have shopped in Northampton and Gloucester which are not far away.
I used to live in London too.

Do your homework, I used to phone the store and ask first. Over 95% were only too happy to oblige. But most advised shopping on a Monday or Tuesday, or if thats not possible very early on a Saturday.

I see no point in making list, I have tried on clothes in most well-known British shops.
