There are many ways to get help on makeup. A google search is the easiest way. There are many CD sites that offer makeup help (look at these threadshttp://crossdressers-forum.com/forums/v ... .php?t=343 and http://crossdressers-forum.com/forums/v ... .php?t=345 . An interesting site is here:

I have had my greatest luck with the Joanne Roberts books mentioned in the first thread and by going to Mary Kay ladies and to Merle Norman stores, which are everywhere in the U.S. Good luck![/url]

Mary Kay or Merle Norman

I really think the best way to get cosmetics help is to go to a professional. I know it's hard if you're not comfortable with going out dressed, but the benefits are really great. I go to a Merle Norman that is about 30 miles from where I live. No one knows me or cares so the risks are minimal or nonexististant. Mary Kay works even better if you are shy, because if you can go to the saleslady's house, not a storefront, like Merle Norman. Videos and books are good, but are not personalized. I have gone to a Merle Norman (years ago) around Holloween in drab, and even sat in a department store in drab getting my colors done. It's scary, but it's worth it. Good luck!

I have visited a Mary Kay rep, once, and it was great. Though I'm not sure how other visits might go, she kept telling me that she wasn't supposed to be helping me apply anything... :?

And, while I know of Merle Norman, I don't think I've ever seen one around here, or in Kansas City (where I'm originally from), sweety. But, I have thought long-and-hard about visiting a make-up counter, at a department store. Just haven't worked up the courage.

Hugs.
