Invited to a Wedding en femme :)

This summer a GG friend of mine is getting married - and she told me that she wants me to come - as Lorna.

Initially I was reluctant and I told her that I would prefer to go en drab as weddings are usually a family affair. But she insisted that her entire family already knows of Lorna (she showed them pictures & such) plus she has also invited another CD I know to the wedding.

Well, since she was virtually insistent on Lorna making an apprearance, I don't want to let her down! Plus I've always wanted to attend a wedding dressed. I've dreamed of an opportunity like this! I can't wait! @@9@@

Now I have to find a nice pretty outfit for the occasion... something to wear to a wedding, but summery... :-k

Lorna,

Congratulations! ``5

You will be living the dream of a lot of us!

From what we have seen from your pictures, you have very good taste.

You are going to put together a really pretty outfit and look great!

Just don't outshine the bride :)

And that is why I must try to dress as conservative & as low key as possible...

Very nice Lorna. Congratulations on this opportunity. Good to know the bride's family is OK with having CDs at the wedding.

How does the groom's family feel?

Is there going to be a reception, with drinking? When drinks flow people can get loud and rowdy. Although I think you can pass easily, I don't know about the other CD, so be aware of possible drunken trouble if you or she get clocked.

Have you already asked for the day off or made them aware that you won't be able to work that day?

Hope it's a fun day!

Hi Donna - Well, the groom isn't really going to have much family there since he's from overseas. As for the reception, it's really not a heavy drinking crowd. And as for the other CD, well, I know her & she's quite passable herself. Incidentally she's been living full time for a couple of years now. As for the days off, yes Mom, it's okay...

(Don't mind my bit of sarcasm there - but you sort of made it sound like I don't know enough to plan accordingly when there's a special event coming up. )

Hi Angie - Thank you!! I can't wait. :)

You're right Lorna, sorry, just my parental nature surfacing, as I know how work sometimes gets in the way of plans. :)

Lorna.. (--)

Congratulations... we may not be able to go with you physically but spiritually we will all be with you, the freedom of going to a wedding dressed en femme... you must be on a high and nervous at the same time... I know I would be... to be accepted by a whole family. Wow... I would be in tears of joy and relief... my mascara would run lol.

Eien, it cetainly is! And thank you!! :)

Donna, it's all good! No work will interrupt those days!

Pauline, I am - I'm so excited!!

Celia, in all honesty I don't think I would go for either... Can you imagine me wrestling a bunch of GGs for the bouquet? I'd be like a wide reciever... rotf
