God Bless this Day!!!

Girls, Saturday for me will go down in the annuals of my life as one of the four greatest days of my life. Next to the births of two great kids and my first carrier landing and take-off, Saturday was unpresidented!!!!! I will try to be brief but so much emotional happenings. First, my training partner who as you know is female and a world champion power lifter in her own right, (she knows I am a crossdresser as I told her last year, but she has said nothing about it other than she totlally approves of people finding themselves!) I had previously told her that I was taking my "alter-ego" to a party Saturday night, so Saturday she asked me about the party and I hesitated to tell her much as we (she being single and we kinda have a "don't ask don't tell relationship - I know that may be strange as we have been training together for 10 years and have travelled to meets together and stayed in the same hotel rooms (no Nothing ever happened)) but she said "I may want to go." "Huh?" Well I kind of knew she had not had any SO since our former training partner moved back to California several years ago. Anyway, she began to tell me she had found her true soul-mate, that they had exchanged rings and she was sooooooooooo happy. I could tell how happy she was she was just sparkling all over and I started crying for her - here I was about to do squats with 500 pounds and I am hugging her and crying like a baby!! I kept telling her how happy I was for her and I could tell she was in heaven and I could not wait to meet this person. She said she wanted them to come to party and if it was OK with me and I said of course but she would then meet Virginia and I hoped it would not change our relationship - she said "NO Way!"
Cut to the chase. I picked up Brandi (my TS pre-op) friend and told her about my training partner coming with her new SO. Remember this is a GLTB (that's Gay, Lesbian, Transsexual and Bi-Sexual) dinner and dance and I had gone to the planning meeting to see if they would allow a crossdresser to attend and they seemed OK with that.
At about 9:00 pm they walked in and they were both glowing!!! My training partner's SO is beautiful and I could tell instantly they were meant for each other.
Come to find out they knew (Oh I forget to mention that Wednesday and Thursday ticket sales went for 60 to 170) It was awesome!!) they knew soooo many folks there that I got a bit concerned as my training partner has a postion that could comprimise her reputation in the community, but she said later that she is so happy that she could care less - she is in LOVE!!!!! Several folks came up to her and were so happy that she was there and as they expressed it, "she was out."
Anyway I digress, I got up from the table to greet her and her eyes flew open and she ran and hugged me and said I looked even better than she imagined, then I recognized her SO who I had meet briefly on a couple of recent occassions, she hugged me and said,' God, Virginia - you are georgeous!"
We walked to the table and I introduced them to Brandi who being a slim, tall red-head in a sleek black and silver mesh gown looked like a movie star. They immediately hit it off.
Then disaster, the band started playing, I felt a hand on my shoulder, "Excuse me, but would the prettiest blonde in here dance with me?" (You girls remember my post earlier about how YOU might react in this type of situation?) Well here was Virginia - face to face with it!!
She did not even hesitate - she rose from her chair - he took her hand and led her to the dance floor ) IT WAS WONDERFUL! It was not a slow dance, but there she was dancing. My training partner and her SO were like two over-sexed teenages and were having an absolute ball!!!!
And Brandi's dance card was full, She hugged me and said "I am so glad you made me come."
(She had been hesistant at first, but I had talked her into it) Enough about them, however, after my second dance, I sat back down and this guy comes up to me and he is with his SO and he says, "God, you are so hot out there on the dance floor!" I went speechless, finally blurted out an smile and a thank you! I gotta admit Virginia did look good! Anyway - a slow song and "Virginia, would you share this dance with me?" (These gay guys are sooooooooooooo smooth)! He
took my hand led me to the floor and Virginia has her first slow dance and it was wonderful!!!!!
I hope that some day, if you haven't that you can expereience the highs that I had yesterday! My training partner, whom I truly love has found her true soul-mate, my frind Brandi, got out and had an absolutely fantastic time and Virginia, well Virginia grew even more and discovered things about herself that make me sooooooo happy!!!
The one criticism I got was from my training partner's SO. She said that I should have worn a much more reveling blouse and shown some cleveage. I tried to explain that it was listed as formal to semi-formal and she just said, well, next time!!!! It was wonderful and the people there, OH, it was just one big happy family and everyone having fun!!!!
I left out several other thngs but these were the highlights so DonnaT, Beauty, "eat your hearts out!!!" I will however expect to see you girls here next time you will have the time of your lives!!!!
Love you all,
