May have hit the Jackpot!

Post by Virginia »

Friday night! that is tomorrow night three of us CD'ers from our support group, Blue Ridge Society are going "clubbing!!!" You have got to check out the two websites of the two clubs in Richmond that we are going to! I only hope my heart will stand the fun!!!
http://www.clubz2.com
http://www.fieldensva.com --- if you have speakers attached to your 'puter make sure the volume is down when you access this one!
I am getting so excited. I spent almost all afternoon, trying to decide what to wear, but after visiting the websites - I don't think it is really going to matter!!
We plan to do z2 at about 10:00pm then about mid-night hit Fieldens which I understand stays open until 4:00 ish or later! No way I will make it that long. We have a motel reservation near by. But it looks like Virginia is gonna meet the world tomorrow night in a medium that will be a new awakening! Is life soooooo much fun!!??
I will take some pictures and hopefully post them later along with details of this new experience!!!
Love you all,
PS: Gracie if this works, I will recruit Donna and we will kidnap you one Friday evening and take you clubbing here!!!! :)

LOL!

You're a nut, you know that? :) (that's a phrase I stole from a long time friend I have on the web)

I was getting ready to click on the reply button when I read the last thing you posted. What I was going to say anyway is I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!! :)

I think it's great that you are doing this!! You really sound so happy and it's good that the real Virginia (and not the Shawshank Redemption narrator version) is going to get out. I really think this going to be HUGE for you. :) I'm proud of you Virginia. I can't even begin to express it in words. You deserve this release and for the first time in recent memory your descriptions of getting excited sound totally like my girl friends. :) You sound so giddy!!! :) Your giddiness has got me excited!!! :)

I can't wait to hear how it went!!! :) Have fun!!!! Oh.. yeah.. like I had to tell you that. I should be warning the world to look out because when you hit the scene it's so on.

WOW Virginia
You were right about the speakers..actually woke my dog up! Thats really great , I'm so happy for you. Reading your post...kinda hits home. I was invited out this saturday night..but after a tough week of work, I was gonna blow it off. Your bubbly attitude is affecting my grumpy one...I might have to re-think :) A few weeks ago..I had my first makeover..then a meeting..then out for dinner..I loved it. LOL...and I'm not used to being out late at all anymore either....so 4am!!!!!!
Funny thing is...its hard to get me out..but once I'm out..well! You're gonna have a great time....and you might have changed my Saturday night plans by that delightful post:) It's great to hear happy things. Be sure to tell us how it goes.
Enjoy and thanks

Go, Virginia! What a fun post to read! Put the excitement on "simmer" for now, though. Save some head-room to get amped up when you're out there doing it. Got to see those pictures, for sure.

Have fun Virginia!

I can see it now, you're out there dancing and looking to have your picture took, then, DOH, it's back in the desk drawer. Don't forget the camera!

It's probably a good thing you have those boots, too. It's gonna be rainy. So drive careful, especially coming over the mountain on 64.

What was it that Inspectory Gadget use to say?!! "WOWZIERS!!!!"
Changed in the motel from my travelling girly clothes to my idea of clubbing clothes, tight mid-thigh white knit skirt and black knit turtle neck sweater and with this blonde hair - I gotta say, "I looked HOT!" Arrived at Z2's at about 10:30p, well it was a bit quite as the shows did not start until 11:00. By 11:00, as close as I cold tell there were two T-Girls (Jean and I) two pre-ops (the girls that came with us) three lesbian couples and at least 70 -100 gay guys. When the entertainiment started I walked to the stage area and as you would expect I was treated like a lady, several smiles and "good evenng ma,mams" and they allowed me a front row view. No chairs, then the Drag Queens began their shows, Well, the costumes were just what one would expect! gaudy, bigjewelery, big hair, lots of make-up and lip-syncing to blasting music. Some of them had so much energy they wore me out just watching. In all honesty they were not great, but it was great fun. They were all big girls, I mean tall and with those costumes it was very entertaining. The guys would hold out dollar bills and the girls would come up and kiss them on the cheek and parade around and it was just great. One guy put his hand around my waist and said, "Honey, you smell so good!" I just thanked him and (remember girls! big smiles!) Two other guys, playing around bumped into me and they fell over each other apolozizing: "Oh my Gawd! We are so sorry, honey, are you OK? We are so sorry!" BIG SMILE "Of course guys, just have fun!" and they were and did! Eveyone was so nice! I met one of the Drag Queens, took her hand and told her how much I liked her show and she had the biggest smile and kissed me on the cheek with a "Why, thanks, Darlin!"
We left there at about 12:30 and headed for Fieldens. It is a private Club and what I was told that every first Friday of the month is T-Girl night! With the few other girls that came into Z2's late and the ones that were already at Fieldens we had the whole first = basement, probably 30 of us from all over, NewPort News to Radford and Northern Virginia and all point in between. What an absolutely great group on ladies!! One of the 'regulars" brought a sandwich tray with chips and dip and the bartender, Charles what a great guy and one of the managers Dave, I think! they herded us into agroup for numerous pictures and said they would be posted on the website soon: www.fieldensva.com (Remember, turn your speaker volumn down). I meet so many fantastic people! One stand-out was one of the girls dressed in a cheerleader outfit with her hair partd in the middle and two pony tails - God! she was the absolutely cutest thing - working on I think, her doctorate in Computer Science. I swear you could have taken her to any college football game injected her into any cheerleader team and you would not be able to tell the difference!
Even some of the gay guys were hitting on her and she was eating it up. If you got right in her face you tell she was maybe early thirties but what a cutie!!! They said that Friday nights a pretty quite and it was, but we just chatted and then a girl called Nova said she was planing Holloween and pre-Christmas parties for us and had set up a banquet room at the Olive Garden and she would be contacting us about times etc, and could probably get us discount at the Comfort Inn where we stayed since there were so many of us. I did go up stairs to the second level where they had a big dance floor and blasting heavy metal, but only a few guys dancing. On the third floor it was a bit more subdued, a bar and maybe twelve to fifteen guys just hanging out. There I had MY MOMENT! Got to tell you about this. I went into the ladies room, came out of the stall, and they had several mirrors, adjusted my skirt, straightened my sweater open my purse, took out my lipstick, bent forward to put on fresh lipstick and the song "Gloria" came blasting out on the speakers! Girls, I tell you it was like an epithomy! I froze, staring into that mirror, lipstick in hand, and I swear ever fiber, cell, every part of my very being began screaming, "God this is sooooooooooooooooooooo right! Virginia!!" I had tears in my eyes, I don't think in my whole 50+ years I have ever felt so comfortable, free, content, happy - it was just absolutely amazing. To be able to capture that feeling again hopefully not to be impossible. I can only hope and pray that you get to experience that feeling at least once in your life. I walked back down stairs and smiling at all the guys and they just nodded and smiled back!
We had planned to leave at 2:00pm and here it was 3:30 and this ole gal was just catching her second wind! I am paying for it now, but God what a night/early morning. Now I want to go back on a Sarurday night to see the real action and the big, big crowds!!!!
What about it Gracie! Honey you would have a ball, and fit right in. You and Donna could room together - it would be great!
There werea few other neat things that happened, but I am too long now so all of you, stay Fluffy and get out an BE!!!!!!!!
Love you all,
Virginia

Hi Virginia,

I'm glad you had a great time and thanks for posting about your night. I can't wait to hear even more! :)

Do you think this will be something you do more often? Was this kind of your coming out night?

I started to ask if you had anything to drink because of the Gloria moment. :) Then you said you were paying for it, so that answers that question. Having a few drinks or not (which I would have too) I'm glad you had mega bunches of fun! :) =D>

If there is more I can't wait to hear about that too. :)

Glad you had a great time and got home safely Virginia.

I reckon a night out like that would be cool, but can't make any promises my wife won't let me keep

Hi Ladies,
First fortunately or unfortunately, I don't drink for a variety of reasons, being an athlete and the fact that alcoholsim may run in my family. The "thing" that happened to me while looking in the mirror, there is just no real way to describe that feeling -- I can only hope that each of you get to experience it once in your life it is absolutely amazing. In difference to my Sis, Loretta, when I looked in that mirror holding that lipstick , I was Virginia, I mean a whole, total, complete woman and I felt it all through my entire body! It was one if not the most amazing feeling I have ever had. It would rank as a tie with my first "cat" shot off an aircraft carrier, now that is saying something!
As for my "coming out" this was second to the Roanoke Pride's "Night of Elegance" dinner/dance, that I went to back in the spring!
I really enjoyed the people and they were all so friendly. gays, lesbians, female impersonators the T-girls. I just felt included and that I was welcomed and they may not have all known me but were glad that I was among them!!! What a very special community, just like my sisters here, I feel at home and love you all so much!!
For the girls not to limit it to any particular location, but I will pass on the information on the up coming "adventures" as I get them and hopefully some of you can make arrangements to come!
Love you all,
Virginia

Hi Virginia,

Sorry about that. I drink wine, but can't hold down any liquor and I'm not a big fan of the taste of beer. I didn't think you got wasted or anything, but I do apologize about even saying you had even a sip of alcohol. :(
