What was it that Inspectory Gadget use to say?!! "WOWZIERS!!!!"
Changed in the motel from my travelling girly clothes to my idea of clubbing clothes, tight mid-thigh white knit skirt and black knit turtle neck sweater and with this blonde hair - I gotta say, "I looked HOT!" Arrived at Z2's at about 10:30p, well it was a bit quite as the shows did not start until 11:00. By 11:00, as close as I cold tell there were two T-Girls (Jean and I) two pre-ops (the girls that came with us) three lesbian couples and at least 70 -100 gay guys. When the entertainiment started I walked to the stage area and as you would expect I was treated like a lady, several smiles and "good evenng ma,mams" and they allowed me a front row view. No chairs, then the Drag Queens began their shows, Well, the costumes were just what one would expect! gaudy, bigjewelery, big hair, lots of make-up and lip-syncing to blasting music. Some of them had so much energy they wore me out just watching. In all honesty they were not great, but it was great fun. They were all big girls, I mean tall and with those costumes it was very entertaining. The guys would hold out dollar bills and the girls would come up and kiss them on the cheek and parade around and it was just great. One guy put his hand around my waist and said, "Honey, you smell so good!" I just thanked him and (remember girls! big smiles!) Two other guys, playing around bumped into me and they fell over each other apolozizing: "Oh my Gawd! We are so sorry, honey, are you OK? We are so sorry!" BIG SMILE "Of course guys, just have fun!" and they were and did! Eveyone was so nice! I met one of the Drag Queens, took her hand and told her how much I liked her show and she had the biggest smile and kissed me on the cheek with a "Why, thanks, Darlin!"
We left there at about 12:30 and headed for Fieldens. It is a private Club and what I was told that every first Friday of the month is T-Girl night! With the few other girls that came into Z2's late and the ones that were already at Fieldens we had the whole first = basement, probably 30 of us from all over, NewPort News to Radford and Northern Virginia and all point in between. What an absolutely great group on ladies!! One of the 'regulars" brought a sandwich tray with chips and dip and the bartender, Charles what a great guy and one of the managers Dave, I think! they herded us into agroup for numerous pictures and said they would be posted on the website soon:
www.fieldensva.com (Remember, turn your speaker volumn down). I meet so many fantastic people! One stand-out was one of the girls dressed in a cheerleader outfit with her hair partd in the middle and two pony tails - God! she was the absolutely cutest thing - working on I think, her doctorate in Computer Science. I swear you could have taken her to any college football game injected her into any cheerleader team and you would not be able to tell the difference!
Even some of the gay guys were hitting on her and she was eating it up. If you got right in her face you tell she was maybe early thirties but what a cutie!!! They said that Friday nights a pretty quite and it was, but we just chatted and then a girl called Nova said she was planing Holloween and pre-Christmas parties for us and had set up a banquet room at the Olive Garden and she would be contacting us about times etc, and could probably get us discount at the Comfort Inn where we stayed since there were so many of us. I did go up stairs to the second level where they had a big dance floor and blasting heavy metal, but only a few guys dancing. On the third floor it was a bit more subdued, a bar and maybe twelve to fifteen guys just hanging out. There I had MY MOMENT! Got to tell you about this. I went into the ladies room, came out of the stall, and they had several mirrors, adjusted my skirt, straightened my sweater open my purse, took out my lipstick, bent forward to put on fresh lipstick and the song "Gloria" came blasting out on the speakers! Girls, I tell you it was like an epithomy! I froze, staring into that mirror, lipstick in hand, and I swear ever fiber, cell, every part of my very being began screaming, "God this is sooooooooooooooooooooo right! Virginia!!" I had tears in my eyes, I don't think in my whole 50+ years I have ever felt so comfortable, free, content, happy - it was just absolutely amazing. To be able to capture that feeling again hopefully not to be impossible. I can only hope and pray that you get to experience that feeling at least once in your life. I walked back down stairs and smiling at all the guys and they just nodded and smiled back!
We had planned to leave at 2:00pm and here it was 3:30 and this ole gal was just catching her second wind! I am paying for it now, but God what a night/early morning. Now I want to go back on a Sarurday night to see the real action and the big, big crowds!!!!
What about it Gracie! Honey you would have a ball, and fit right in. You and Donna could room together - it would be great!
There werea few other neat things that happened, but I am too long now so all of you, stay Fluffy and get out an BE!!!!!!!!
Love you all,
Virginia
