Oh, Oh, Oh!! It is on my calendar! I will do what I can to attend! sounds like sooooooooo much fun! Maybe just maybe we can get Gracie to attend as well. If you find out more let us know!!!! got to scrape some money together for it but will be a priority!!!!!!

Well Ladies, guess I will miss Gracie's coming out party this time
.It seems that there is a sanctioned powerlifting meet that Saturday at Tower Fitness Club near Tyson's Corner. I can not help but think of the irony to change from a power suit, squat shoes, belt and knee wraps and put on an evening gown and heels!! First I need this meet to help me qualifiy for the World Championship next year and since my shoulder seems to be getting better, I tripled 325 today with no pain, I guess I will let Virginia take me to the meet. I would invite any of you to come to the meet. It does have a $5.00 admission and it is located at Tower Fitness Club 8000 Towers Crescent Drive in Vienna, Virginia.

Come on Virginia. You should be able to do both. At least think about coming for the entertainment part of the party from 9:30 pm to 2:00 am. You'll be in the area anyway.

Hey Donna, It starts a 10:00 according to the entry I have.
I have not given up on the idea, but it is a three lift meet and it usually takes a lot out of me - well the fact that when they are over I have to have my training partner remind me where I am and what my name is. Also since there is no cut-off on the number of entrants, there could be five or there could be 105. Which means it could go to 8:00 -9:00pm or even later or we could be out by 3:00 - 4:00pm. One of my claims to fame is I survived the longest meet in history. I was one of over 300 lifters that showed up at a meet in Pennsylvania. My session was suppose to start at 2:00pm. We started the squats at 9:00pm; the bench started at about 2:00 am; and I pulled my first dead lift at 5:00am. Picked up my trophy at 7:30 am and hit the road for a four hour drive back to Roanoke. Then again that was in my younger days, I was only 51.
My training partner and her SO have expressed a lot of interest in attending, don't recon they would mind a couple of lesbians would they - ain't nobody gonna be big enought to throw her out anyway - 132 pound female with a 314 bench press and a 460+ squat.
Anyway I will just have to "play it by ear." I know the meet director and can find out how many lifters will show up. Cutoff is Nov. 15th. It would be neat if half the lifters were to show up at the party!
