Secretly crossdressing in public--ideas!?!?!?

Hi! I have always wanted to dress in public, but am soooo far away from actually going "all the way". I'm sure there are others like me who have quite a bit of fear of dressing in the obvious female attire, but would still love the thrill of wearing something very inconspicuous.

Thus, how about suggestions from everyone??? I always wear men's undershirts whether I wear a short-sleeved knit shirt or a long-sleeved dress shirt. Thus, I've been trying to find women's short-sleeved tees (with almost no luck) to replace my men's tees with. One thing I have done before is curl my lashes and wear clear mascara.

Anyway, I'd love for all of you creative souls out there some up with some great ideas!

Hi Brittany,

Since some time I always wear women's jeans and other women's trousers – usually I prefer material with stretch
The only remarks which occurred were compliments on my new trousers. I know my size well and have no problem to find fitting ones.

There are also beautiful pullovers/sweaters. I just got a lovely one which has snowflakes as ornaments – can't wait for winter to start (actually it has in September, when the mountains in the north of the country had the first snow - but that is 1000 km from here)

Then try some blouses, there are lots which look androgynous enough.

Whether one calls it CDing or giving yourself an androgynous look, or stretching the boundaries of gender presentation?

I agree...
I wear womens jeans and sometimes slacks, with of course, the appropriate undergarments! :)

There is quite a selection of tops, sweaters, etc. you can find, that are womens, but don't scream it out.

When I dress in this way, I've never seen anyone give me a second look that i'm aware of. It's actually kind of fun to have your little secret out in the world, too.

Have fun shopping!

My sisters know what works! Try some neutral eye shadow, clear or neutral nail polish and color those toe nails what ever color suits you!
Also, some nice feminine deodrant and perfume. If some "hard leg" smells the perfume he will probably be extremely jealous thinking that you had just "got lucky." Of course with colder weather, panty hose will be the rage. Did you know that on the Alaskan Pipeline that over 90% of the workers wore panty hose - yes, some were probably CD'ers and welcomed the opportunity, but most - just to keep warm! Also, there are some very nice neutral lip sticks and glosses, but a hint: with apologizes to Jeff Foxworthy: " You might be a crossdresser if you use a mirror to put on chap stick!"
Push the envelope, you will be surprised that virtually "No one cares!"

I'm a small man and I always have on panties and pantyhose in the cold weather. I can't wait for the cold weather. Today I had on a bra my silbies(Silcone breasts) and bulky sweatshirt. I've worn them out with a sport coat even with my wife and no one noticed. Because I'm small one friend of mine said"Are you working out" . "In my own way "I replied. I love going out 50/50. I've really been pushing the envelope lately. I was out a mall recently with capris, clarks womens sandals, beige toe nail polish and ankle bracelets. Black embroidered very femmine long silky shirt and cute beige Nike cap. The only person that said something to me was a woman. She said"Nice ankle bracelets" and smiled. We are soooooo bad, aren't we girls! Pure evil! Big hugs.

Love Jeannie.

Often when I go out I will wear a slip, panties, and stockings underneath guy clothes. It is a nice feeling but that is just underdressing.

Back when I wasn't into CDing very much I had a girlfriend who had a lot of clothes that fit me, although interestingly we were very different sizes. So I would completely openly wear her jeans and pants and some of her shirts-it was her idea. I didn't consider it crossdressing but with a pair of her panties (wish I'd thought of it then) I would have been almost comletely crossdressed.

I have a nice pair of faded glory unisex sandals which are nice and some tee shirts that have the new softer fabric that feel like they should be womens tee shirts.

There is always the AA bra if you can find one that fits which may actually fit your breasts without any inserts. Nice to be genuine.

Hi again,

I forgot shoes.
No problems either to find any which look androgynous or tip only slightly to the feminine side, though for girls with large feet like me it needs some research. I am not so fond of really high heels, but 4 cm (1.6 inch) seems to be acceptable for a guy.
I have good experiences with online shopping (I order from all over Western Europe), when it comes to shoes. When I order I ask, wether the actual size fits for XX cm (we are metric of course) - Sometimes I'll get an advice back from the shop, that I should take a size larger. Never had to return a pair for wrong size!

So I am wearing today: shoes with heels (height s. above), diamond patterned pantyhose, a body, girl's black denim stretch jeans (most people do obviously not look constantly at the fly and check whether it's girl's or boy's stuff you're wearing).
This evening I'll go out with a gg-woman friend (she knows about my gender thing) to the cinema and afterwards we'll take a pint of beer. I'll change to a pair of recently bought blue jeans (stretch of course), which have a nice ornament on the hip pockets, and I'll take either a new blouse which I got recently Image
or the above mentioned pullover Image (uh, unfortunately not me, and I have it in black)
- depends a bit on the weather – it's quite nasty outside right now in the morning

Silly question, I'm sure, but women's zippers are different? I know the shirts button oppositely of mens, but zippers are diff, too?

As for bras, I have the AA thing licked. I buy bras that are unlined and not molded/padded, and also have very stretchy cups. Surprisingly, these are getting very hard to find since (I'm assuming) smaller-busted women like the padded, boost-a-size look. Anyway, I'll buy a bra that's a bit tight around thus stretching the cups to fit. Unfortunately, any bra size that would come in an AA or AAA cup (hard to find AA even in a band size of 34) would be entirely too small around for me.

With that said, I find the bra idea veeeeeery risky. Day in and day out I have people pat my back just saying hello, etc. At the same time, I've worn bras around people that know I crossdress, and often they never notice it when tpuching my back, etc., but still... if one touched in just the right place it'd be obvious. Also, even under the thickest sweaters a bra can be seen if you're bending over, etc. I have, however, considered wearing a sports bra before. It'd look and feel just like a tank under clothing.

Speaking of tanks and tee shirts, does *anyone* know where I can get plain crewneck short-sleeved women's tee shirts? I see tank tops everywhere, and the only tees I can find are printed.

not the zippers (often they are much shorter in women's trousers. For obvious reasons men's trousers have to have long enough zippers).
Most often, however, the fly of women trousers is right-over-left (button on the on the left, hole on the right), men's is left-over-right (was that undersandable? my english is possibly not good enough). Sometimes you find exceptions ...

I"ve seen some Hanes women's tee shirts at Wal-Mart recently that look like men's but "are fitted to a woman's body."

Hello Brittany, With jacket weather upon us ,I regularly go out with my forms on. I bought 39DD's so as to feel them move while riding my mountain bike, or my gas scooter or shopping. The jackets are baggy, but in my full length mirror, I can definetely notice they are there. What's the point if there is no risk? You can even feel yourself up thru your pockets! Not on the scooter tho:) One other time I went to a local sports bar, where I was talking to someone who I knew only from drinking there. He was an older gentleman and while was getting my attention, he brushes my boob! He just had this stupid look on his face. It was quite unnerving and funny at the same time. We kept bs'ing like it didn't happen. And don't forget to wear you sunglasses when in full eyemakeup. Peace in joy, Ellie

:-k

This is something I have done virtually all my life.
The underwear is very common, I used to panic sometimes if an alert was called during the day when I was in the Airforce. I remember one day when I was an Instructor at RAF Halton that I wore a pretty bra all day in the local village, imagine my suprise when I walked past a mirror to note that my shirt was sort of translucent.

I often venture out with neutral shades of eyeshadow and nail varnish on. I went to my mothers last year and she never noticed. I regularly wear ladies jeans or slacks, again to my mums house without raising any comments.

When I walk the dog on a dark winters night my coat is sometimes the only male piece of clothing, apart from my shoes. I regularly use feminine deoderant and find that if I have a shower after applying a nice perfume, the smell is still there for me to notice when I walk around town.

I think this behaviour is the original meaning of the term cross-dressing. Kind of mixing and matching.

Since I bought my wife a new raincoat and I had only a very light one, I have worn her old red nylon Lands End raincoat out, including to church several times and nobody seemed to notice.

Brittney:
I usually, wear nice panties and shorts that are nice fitting and a simple pull over shirt. The shorts are neat, and bing that the fabric of womens shorts are not as rough as male shorts, they tend to be more comfortable.I have never had a negative reaction or comment about wearing the shorts.
Another thing, they are more comfortable on the golf course, and I always get more sun on my legs keeping my tan. I also shave my legs and the tan is even better. Being a person with very little hair on my arms, it does not seem to be out of the ordinary for a person to have "no hair on the legs".
