Counting down the days! Next week my mother is going to my brother's house and then to my sister's for Thanksgiving. I will have the entire house to myself for the entire week. :)

No restrictions on what I can wear around the house for the first time in more than four years. 8) Skirts, dresses, slacks, tops, heels, whatever! 24/7 for a whole week!

Let the fun begin!

Love,
Kathy

That brings back memories Kathy

My parents used to go on holidays every year for two weeks at a time , the secret clothing box would come out and sit on my bedroom floor.

That's fantastic, Kathy!!
I agree with the others.... enjoy every moment, and do go out at least for a drive.

My wife has been talking about going to visit her family for some time now. She did last year and was gone for about a month.... I have to say that was the best time for me!

Anyway... know how you feel, hopefully we can both enjoy over the holiday!

Kathy I hope you really enjoy yourself. I have had the opportunity to do this a couple of times and it brings very fond memories. Not to mention other very mundane stuff we can do in this setting such as what we choose for dinner.

One of my best memories was awakening to newly fallen snow and realizing that my white nightgown and robe matched the snow. A feeling I would not have had as a guy even if I was wearing all white. It was like the lightness of the gown and the feathering delicateness of the snow matched each other.

Lots of folks here will take a drive somewhere which I have not done. I can say that a moonlite walk in the woods en femme even though it was brief, and a walk down the road partly en femme to the pond late at night were also wonderful experiences. I felt like the feminine in me was embracing the feminine of the pond while the masculine embraced the masculine of the sky and trees and just staring at the ice on the pond like that was enchanting. So I hope you are able to find your own magical experiences at this time. Please keep us informed.

Hi All!

Thanks for the good wishes! :)

I'm not making any specific plans for the week ahead. Whatever feels right at the time is what I'll do. But, I do plan on wearing some of my favorite things that my mother prefers not to see me in.

And, yes, I may well go for a drive just to get out of the house for a while. I have done that several times in the past, both daytime and night. I agree with Virginia that it is a really great feeling to be out and about.

I've had many weeks like this in the past where I've been able to "full time it". It's just that, for the last four years, circumstances have prevented it.

Now I have an opportunity and I intend to take full advantage of it. :) But, I'm also not going to get stressed out by trying to adhere to some plan or schedule. :?

This girl just wants to have fun! 8)

Love,
Kathy

Um... one small exception to that statement...

A fantasy I've had for many years has been to own a real, honest to goodness, wedding gown. Now, thanks to eBay, that fantasy is now a reality.

This dress arrived yesterday and I just had a chance to try it on a few minutes ago...

Image

It...fits...perfectly!

So, Thanksgiving Day will be spent, at least in part, wearing this dress. 8) That is, if I have enough will power to wait that long.

This is gonna be a fun week!

Love,
Kathy

Is that you in the picture? It looks like a catalogue picture so if it is you look very nice.

Regardless, enjoy.

Hi Kathy,

I hope you have a great, safe, and fun week of dressing. :) I'm very happy for you. Your gown looks wonderful. :)

Andrea,

What you said about waking up one morning when it was snowing and realizing the snow matched the nightgown and robe you were wearing was AWESOME!!! :) I literally felt the lightness and soft precious moment you described. Thank you!

Don't I wish!!! :P

No, it's a catalog picture. I can only dream about looking THAT good.

Virginia, I'll have to think about pictures. Since I have never used makeup, don't own any makeup and don't have anyone to show me how, I'd hate to have this drab face spoil the beauty of the gown. But, I'll consider the possibility...

Thanks all! I'll be driving my Mom down to my brother's house on Monday so the fun begins next Tuesday!
:)

Kathy

Hi Stephanie,

I'm not going to promise daily updates. In the past, when I've had a week or so "off", I've been known to go several days without ever turning my computer on at all. For me, sitting at the computer every day is part of the routine. The whole point of spending Thanksgiving week alone, away from the family, is to break the routine.

So, updates... yes. Daily... probably not! [-(

I'll just take each day as it comes and see what happens. :)

Love,
Kathy
