Steffie at work and party all in one day

Hi girls,

Today was an interesting day. I went out early in the day to a mall and did some window shopping. I wore a cream cable-knit sweater, brown velvit pants, a woven brown belt, matching brown purse (with sparkling shiny objects on it) and brown suede boots. No one seemed to stare at the stores I browsed at the mall (Macy's, Payless, etc.). That was good. :)

Later in the day I went to our CD Christmas party (my first Christmas party en-femme). It was nice and I had a good time.

Late in the evening (actually past midnight), I then left and drove home. It was cold and there was supposed to be some snow/rain Sunday. I was going to go into work tomorrow (in male mode obviously) and complete a task that couldn't be finished until the weekend (Saturday or Sunday). However, I thought, why not get it out of the way now but the problem was when I was driving home I was still Steffie! It was too cold to fully change in my secluded spot before going home though I would take off my wig and boots and sneak home. However, before doing this, I became adventurous and thought, why not go to work as Steffie and just complete the task now? Well, girls, I did just that! I got this rush walking through the hallway at my place of work with the clicking sound of my boot heels on the floor. It was so great! :)

I never thought I would ever venture to my job as Steffie but I guess if I ever did, it's better if is at 1:00 IN THE MORNING. LOL Anyway I completed the task as Steffie and went home. At least now I can sleep in on Sunday and be Steffie most of the day. :) I wonder if I should "hire" Steffie to do my work for me sometimes? lol Anyway, seriously I just wanted to share my "adventure" with you girls. Thanks for reading.

Hi Steffie,
What a great story!!! I know you really felt a rush going into work "en femme." I won't ask about security systems, night watchmen, security cameras, etc. If you are on film, maybe they will think it was some kind of christmas elf coming in to help out.
Proud of you girl, keep the faith!

Very cool Seffie. Be careful, however, because I use to dress at work early in the mornings, and was caught by a secretary who came in early one morning also. Good thing she was cool with my CDing.

Hi Steffie--
That's a good story, and I know how enjoyable that was to "go into work" dressed. There are good points in Virginia and Donna's posts, about security cameras and early/late workers, so you do have to be prepared for surprises.

I mentioned in a post that I went to pick up a tool at a not-moved-into-yet house at 11pm, and there was the customer, doing some midnight painting! I saw his car, so I was prepared, but quirky things do happen when you're out there. His wife arranged the job, so he hadn't met me at all. He was very gracious about the whole thing, but then again, this is San Francisco.

Thanks girls.

To answer questions about cameras, the one good thing about the company:

There are no security cameras there. It's a small company too. I'm one of the scientists there. I have occasionally stayed late to work in past years but no others have. I have a key and know security alarm code. That's why I gambled and went. Hopefully our company will not hire any more workaholic types. lol Plus there are side doors and if someone ever did come in I would have to scoot out those doors. This was kinda tightrope walking but then again there wa still a safety net. Then again in the past if there were any other CDers at our company I might have stumbled on them. lol Those are good and valid points that Virginia, Donna and Anita made though.

Steffie:
Sounds like you had a great evening and night. Please be carefull as Donna T expressed, she was supprised.
I also had been supprised one night at work. When working late well past 10:00 pm, I on numerous would get fully dressed.
At that time there was a no smoking policy in effect for offices, I would venture to the Smoke room to have one and while returning to my office, a security guard was passed me in the same direction.
I had been working there for several years and know all the gossip links and forunately, there was none.
