Went shopping in Richmond, Virginia last weekend

On a whim, I decided to go to Richmond for some shopping. Turns out I could have picked a better day, thay were calling for and received snow. I still had a good time, but decided to cut it short to make it home before the heavy snow hit.
The day before, I looked on line for stores that sell bras because I wanted a professional bra fitting. I am a hard fit and I have always purchased bras according to the cup size of my forms. They didn't look right, but what do I know. I called a store called Blythe ( http://www.shopatblythe.com/) and arranged a fitting. I also called a Merle Norman located in Midloathian.
I find Blythe and go in. It is a really beautiful store and the young woman who was to do the fitting was waiting for me. She was very nice and treated me as if I were what I appeared, a middle aged woman. She complimented me on my look and seemed to mean it. She said that she had spoken to quite a few CD's, but I was the first to actually show up. She asked me what size I thought I wore and we started there. I went into the changing room and when I was ready, she came in to check the fit. After a few tries I discovered that I wasn't a 42 D, like I thought, but a 42 DD. She found me a beautiful burgandy bra with georgious detailing and I bought it. She was very professional, very nice and interested in me as a person and as a CD. Anyway, they have beautiful bras, camis, etc. I will be back and I can't say enough good things about the store and the fitter. Wasn't cheap, but the service was great. I'm sorry I didn't get her name.
Next I went to the Merle Norman's in Midlothian:
MERLE NORMAN COSMETIC STUDIO
11170 Hull Street Rd
MIDLOTHIAN VA 23112-3252 (804) 744-2980
When I called, I was lucky and spoke to the owner, Kathy. Very nice, very knowledgeable and very CD friendly. When I arrived we got along very well and she was comfortable enough to ask me a bunch of CD related questions. She has a relatively wide range of CD customers and she wanted my opinions and ideas about them. As some of you know, I love MN and was not disappointed, but as an added bonus she has WIGS! I am ready for a new wig and when I make up my mind I will get it from her. I spent $80 on makeup, but well worth it. It lasts forever. She works out of her home most of the week, but her manager is off on Fridays and Saturdays so she's in the store then. If you decide you need MN, call and ask for her. She is very good at what she does.
Since it was a gray day I didn't take any pictures. I was wearing a black vee necked top, jeans, "grannie" boots and my lavender winter coat. I looked just like any of the other middle aged women out shopping that day. It was great.
