Janet,
I started a thread last year prior to attending a formal dinner/dance put on by out local Gay Pride organization. The question that is posed was if you (a crossdresser) were dressed and looked nice at such an affair and you were asked to dance by someone what would you do? The responses ranged from "no" to "it is required!" I had never been in that situation before, however, Virginia did look GREAT! and she was asked to dance and I came out of that chair like it had a spring under me! First, gay guys can charm your panties off and you like it - not literally but they are so smooth and they can dance. I danced several times both fast and slow and the slow dances, they conducted themselves as perfect gentlemen! NO groping or unnecessary touching and they thanked me for the dance each time as well - perfect gentlemen! If you go clubbing and are dressed and are with someone be it male or female you can dance and no one will "raise an eyebrow" even two girls dancing together is acceptable.
So go for it! Life is to short not to have fun -like Nike says. "just do it!!!"

Virginia,
Danceing is my fun thing to do when out (in drab) I go out of my way to dance with all the ladies. You know I would like to try it one time but I will have to have my wife teach me how to follow and not lead. Of course she will say NO as you ain't going out danceing enfem. But one day who knows?

Danceing in a dress is a fantastic feeling but would not go out to any nightclubs yet. Lol

In the future, I would like to learn to dance with TG's and GG's at occasional TG events in the San Francisco Bay Area. I don't have any interest in nightclubs or bars. I would like to dance in my black minidress that give me the freedom to move my beautiful legs!

I think I'd be able to actually get out on the dance floor for once, and dance if I were dressed. Might be fun!

I have two left feet, I was always in the band (trumpet), but I have always wanted to go skydiving in a dress. Then again, some pervert would probably try to upskirt me.
Hugs,
Bernice

Hey, Bernice - -
Talk about having some sunshine blown up your skirt - - takes on a whole new meaning if you go skydiving in a skirt, doesn't it?!!
Dancing with 2 left feet? Yep, been there-done that - hoping my new girlfriend will find some time to teach me how to dance - so I don't step on her lovely feet!!

"Regular" dancing isn't my thing. Probably because I've never figured out how to.
Now ballroom dancing would be another thing entirely. I learned how to waltz for the school musicals. That would be fun to do in a dress and heels. Any dance that has steps you have to learn is my kind of dance. Probably because I'm the type who prefers to have a manual whenever possible.

I love old houses. Often they have a feel to them where you can vaguely sense the previous inhabitants. I am not talking about ghosts or the supernatural or anything. But you know they were there and it is a feeling of mystery and wonder.
I had occaision to spend two days in a place like that alone a year ago. I did it mostly en femme. To me it seemed to make the prescence of the house different. I enjoyed it greatly.
Here's another. I like cemeterys. Perhaps for the same reason. I would love to visit a cemetery at night en femme. Perhaps a filmy white gown where I could flit about. Or maybe just in my usual skirt and top to sit and think or perhaps just in a black slip. Funny how all these clothes would take on such a meaning in these ambiances. Far more fraught with atmosphere than guy clothes.
So many people put dancing here on their list. It has always seemed to me that women can be far more expressive when they dance than men can. Is that why so many like to do it en femme?

This is an old thread but,
I have always wanted to go to a formal dance dressed in a large hoop dress as women done in the western days or if you were upper class and somebody invited to a very formal dance. I would give my eye teeth to go.

Carol Ann, I will agree with you, i would love either an old western or a victorian formal gown with the long full skirt with either the hoops or full crinoline with it. Also the full puffy sleeves and corset.
Carol Ann it sounds like we need to have a party..

I think that's wonderful! From club to ballet, any type of dancing is a wonderful thing.
