I read somewhere that if you are (like me,) a bit shy about purchasing nails at the nearest pharmacy, you can make your own by shaping them from plastic water bottles. (This appeals to me: cheap, cheap, cheap.) I have a feeling they may fit better, too, though it may be the nails intended for GGs' hands could be filed to fit mine as well. I don't know. Anyway, the article said: "Make your own from plastic water bottles. Shape them to fit with a nail file. Attach with contact cement."
I was doing fine until I hit the "contact cement" bit. (Yikes!) I can see it now: my wife pulls into the driveway, and I'm diving down the stairs to the workshop, looking for something...anything...to get them off before she gets into the house, sees them, and blows a gasket.
I'm off to Esprit in just over a week, and I really would like to be able to sport some lovely nails. My own just won't do. They're chipped, uneven, and even if I could grow them to length, my wife just wouldn't have it. So, it's artificials or nothing. Over to you, experts: what would you suggest?

You can try making them. I heard of using plastic from milk jugs. Double sided tape can be used to hold it inplace.
However, it's no big deal going in to a store and buying a set. If you don't want to do it near home, then get some when you go to Esprit.
I found them easy to polish, if you don't like the colors offered for sale, before puting them on.
