Deal ....

Post by Jessie »

I was thinking of starting this thread in coorperation with the thread "What did you buy today?" This has to do with some the great deals we may have made while making purchases. I bring this up because I rencentaly picked up a skirt that was orginaly priced at $128 and got it for $9. Now I think that was a deal.

I want to hear about (more recent) deals you have all made as well.

Hey, hon! you gotta be careful, you don't want to aggitate my shopping genes! They can drag me kicking and screaming from the most important issues I may be dealing with like driving a car or motorcycle, or heading to Dunkin Donuts when up pops that magic word that is imprinted on every girl's brain from birth --------------------- SALE!
I will tell this blond story: A new upscale "discount outlet" recently opened here. "S--Mart!" like what deals they have: Jeans that were origninally $219.00 marked down to $189.00, blouse originally $99.00 marked down to $59.00. Well you get the picture. Anyway I have an idea where this place is so Virginia drives out to where she thinks it is. Well there is the "Goodwill" store, the chinese restaurant. the smart store, the nail and toes store, the book store, round and round the parking lot goes Virginia. 8-[ [-( I know well I think I know where this new store is then out of the cloud comes that proverbial 2x4 and WHAM! right between the eyes! smart store = S Mart you ditsy blond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   no wonder we have a "bad" reputation!
Oh, I did buy a nice skirt, originally $69.99 for $8.00 but that was the only deal I found this time!
When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping!

I went to Torrid last weekend in preparation for the monthly KB meeting, and everything on clearance was an additional 50% off! I found a dress that was originally about $50, got it for $12. I also picked up a tank top, a vest and a couple of little things, and only spent about $35.

I purchased a very sexy black vinyl jacket off the clearance rack for $1.

It looks great for my goth/punk nights, but during these warm summer months, it sits in the closet with the rest of my jackets.

Altrhough it's too hot for jackets now, the vinyl jacket is great to wear for rainy weather.

We have a consignment shop that has to go out of business because they are losing there lease. The owner has everything in the store at 50% off and a lot of the cloth's are .25 cents each.
I have been going each week and have gotton half a dozen skirts a couple of tops, some belts, all for around 5 bucks. I think I will go agian today! She is still taking consignments, so there is always something new.

What a great idea for a thread, Jessie!
I LOVE it!

We have Foley's dept stores here that are changing over to Macy's. I read that they will be selling off all the items that are private label to Foleys at deep discount.

I went last week and got some cute shorts and tank tops. Regular prices it would have been over $60, I got them all for about $25.

I'm going to wait another week or two and see if they have some REAL steals then. I'll keep you all informed.

I think my best deal so far is a Skate Dress I bought at Salvation Army for around $6. They normally run over $100.

You all will LOVE this one...

A pair of black dress sandals by LEI. About 3 inch heel, closed lattice back with matching lattice open toe front. Super cute and sexy!

Regular price was $49. Found them at Kohls, in my size, on clearance for... $2.50!

Now that's a deal!!!

My latest deal....

Levis 518 junior sized, superlow bootcut in faded shade. They had just one pair in my size on clearance rack.

Marked down from $40 to $9.99!

They fit perfect and look fantastic. I found them at Sears, of all places. Just goes to show, you can never tell where you'll find the bargains.

Ok....
Not a super deal, but I thought it was good.

A really cute pair of Bongo juniors jeans, low rise and boot cut.

Regularly $40, for $12.99 at Ross.

The interesting thing is, this pair was a size smaller than what I usually wear in a juniors size. I tried them on, and they were just a little too tight. So I washed them, and didn't dry them completely.

When I put them on..... OMG! What a perfect fit! Nice and snug in all the right places!
