Powderpuff Cheerleading!

I thought it was funny cheering the crowd with our uncoordinated cheering, and imbalance. But it was funny. My friends got a big kick out of it. They were hurassing me from the fence. But basically the games where Juniors vs. Sophomores and Freshmen vs. Senors. Not that fair if you ask me. But whatever, I guess they wanted the Senors to win.

But I'm a Junior, and I was the only guy who showed up at the game for Juniors. But all in all 7 guys showed up to cheer on the girls playing flag football. No Freshmen, 5 Sophomores, 1 Junour (me), and 1 Senor. So we decided to combine and just cheer for everyone.

But ah yeah, cheerleading is alot harder than it looks. I learned alot of cheers like "Let's go West Port! Let's go!" x3 and "TD! What? Touchdown!" x3 and of course, "When we say teal, you say black! Teal!, (Black!), Teal!, (Black!), Teal Teal! (Black black!), Go Go!, (Wolf Pack!)".

Here we go:

Hello Dallas: Well, that makes four members of the CD FORUM cheerleading squad (that I know of). Liked the outfit's color scheme. Did you have to perform any complicated routines? The cheerleading thing now is very different from what I remember going to high school in the late 1960's. Precision tight gymnastic and dance routines are what the squads do now, as opposed to the simpler clapping and jumping exercises of 40 years ago.
I dress up as a cheerleader for protests (anti-war, environment, etc. etc.) and other suitable occasions (Halloween). I'll admit that some times I do look really good and it is quite amazing that I can pull off even a half way decent cheerleader image at the age of 55.
Would love to post a few photos here, but have no idea how to transfer them from I PHOTO to this forum.
Anyhow, hope you enjoyed your brief cheerleading experience. It really is fun. I led an "IMPEACH" cheer at a protest about a month ago.
Peace'n'Love-- Kendra Lynn

Haha! Thanks guys. But yeah I had a good time. So did the rest of us. My girlfriend got a huge kick out me trying to do the cheers. We just did simple clapping and yelling routines. There was a guy from the cheerleading squad doing it with us, so he'd tell us a cheer and we'd do it like a minute latter.

In the end, I have to admit that I had lots of fun!

I am very proud of you for having the courage to do that in high school. I wish I could have had that kind of courage then. I am 28 and just got the courage to tell all of my friends.

Eh, well you know how it is. I do what I want. And I don't care about what people think. It's like whatever, ya know? You can't let the rumors and thoughts of others stop you from what you're going to do. I'm definately confident in myself.

But that's so awsome. That's a great thing you've done. You should be very proud of yourself.
