Yay! My sister let me borrow some of her pants to wear at school! They are very comfy. Lots of guys wear girl pants at school so no one gives me any trouble about it. My dad doesn't like it too much but he's not going to stop me.

But yeah what do you guys think?

A little long on you, so some high heeled boots should correct that :P

I use to wear bell bottoms all the time back in the late 60's and early 70's, now they are labeled boot cut for the ladies

Yeah I suppose they are a little long. But I wasn't wearing them exactly at my waist. But if I pull them up, They are fine.

I wore them at Wal-Mart today, and I got dirty looks from people. Haha! I enjoyed myself. Cuz I had gone to visit my mom at rehab, and they allowed us to go to Wal-Mart together with my grandma.

Hi Dallas--
I KNOW that this time around, bellbottoms are only worn by gals, but I was used to seeing them on guys the first time around. So they don't register as "girl " pants to me. You look fine; but I'm not experiencing the culture shock that other people (like your dad) are going through, seeing you.

Guess I'm saying that my fashion eye is not very accurate on this one.

In the UK the fashionable girls and guys are all wearing ultra skinny fit now, and "bootleg" are still worn by the guys. They're what I wear 9/10 times in my Male guise!
No-one would bat an eyelid here. No culture shock from me either however if we (UK) are going to follow your (the States) trends as usual then I'll be looking forward to their comeback next year!

Bring forth my heels to go with them! Yum! :)

Maybe that's true, but we still call them girl pants around here. Maybe that's why me dad freaked out.

Heheh.... Yeah I get where ya coming from!

My old man would, well, I dunno really, but I think he's pretty cool about most things and to be honest I don't think much would suprise him where I'm concerned! My Parents don't actually know, just the good lady and my step daughter.

I do admire you for thinking "feck 'em all", though! Well done! =D>

Dallas - Those jeans look terrific on you, and I agree with Donna and Ed about adding some heeled boots to complete the outfit!

Ed - I'm glad to see you finally posting, and I sure did enjoy chatting with Curly a few weeks ago - she has such a lovely voice!! Hope we can do it again, but maybe a 4-way conversation with Virginia and yourself participating???

Ed- Thanks, and yeah, I do have "Screw them all" attitude towards it. I really don't care. A skirt oneday perhaps. But that all comes in good time... in good time...

SL- Thanks alot! So heeled boots huh? Sounds interesting.

Dallas,
You know, like my girl-kids your age, you might think everyone is looking at you and evaluating and judging you, but.....

hate to break the news, most people aren't doing that and don't really care.

Once you realize that, you might just be able to be yourself and become the person you want to be, no matter who or what that might be.

This is very true... I won't ever forget who I am and what my goals are. I will always be "The Great Dallas".

The pants look nice. I hadn't realized that only girls wore bell bottoms now though.

I wore my girlfriends pants a lot back in the day. No one could tell the difference however.

I don't wear any other kind of jeans anymore, whether I'm en femme or not. I honestly think that people don't notice anymore, or else they don't care. I've even worn a couple of my more "girly" pairs when I was in drab, and no one said a word to me.

Nice jeans, Dallas. What prompted me to respond was an earlier chat I had with a friend. LOL...I'm shopping for a dress to wear to my christmas dinner (triess)..and I mentioned that I was having a hard time deciding.. Somehow i got off on fabrics and style and mentioned..as a guy...heck 3 pairs of jeans did it all. It seems to me that most girls jeans are interchangable with guys now...with maybe exceptions for trim which mostly would go unnoticed....and bellbottoms are still rare down here. What amazes me is that a few bolts of fabric can create so many thousands of different skirts, blouses and dresses...and we have to have them all ...well...ok...not all. But jeans are jeans and I agree with others that heels make them special.

Dallas the pants look good on you. I have recently started to phase out mens pants in my wardrobe. What brand are those pants?
