I can see the idea behind it but, the fellow/gal in the photo is way way to over dressed to be just testing out a car.

Regardless of the negative/ignorant comments that some people have made, the idea of making their engineers wear faux-skirts (plastic bag), fake nails, and high heels is brilliant. The male engineers need to look at their designs from a female's perspective . . . it's one thing to hear it from their female co-engineers (which they usually just dismiss as being "whining") , and another to actually experience it, first-hand!!

I especially like the idea of retractable running boards and a larger console for my purse, but my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited already has an easier-to-lift rear hatch. I don't like running boards as a rule because they generally make getting in/out of a vehicle, or just reaching into the vehicle for objects, so much harder . . . but for getting in/out while wearing a skirt or dress and high heels, well, the retractable running boards would be wonderful!!

Oh, and I've been by the Milford test track quite often when I lived in that area, and know of many engineers and "street mechanics" who have been sent there for training.

I remember (oh darn, I'm not that old) a 1961 Chrysler 300 with swivel seats. They would rotate out about 45 degrees for ease of entry or exit. So even back then someone was thinking of women and skirts. A guy would never use that feature unless......

We (mostly my wife ) were looking at an SUV last weekend. It had just about everything you'd want, like a rear hatch that opens with a touch of a button on the remote.

All the windows open remotely to let it cool off.

Sensors on the rear hatch one just touches and it will close on it's own. Makes it a lot easier for anyone weak or short to close the hatch.

The center console could be moved back to allow for a purse to fit in the floor board.

Sensors in all the windows to prevent them from closing on anyone or anything.

A video monitor for viewing to the rear of the vehicle when backing up.

Airbags everywhere.

Don't think the running boards retracted though, but we didn't ask. They didn't appear to be in the way.

An on and on. Lots of thinking by engineers on this one.

Didn't buy it though. We are supposed to be looking for something for me this time, and I wasn't really interested in an SUV. I'm more interested in something sporty and fast.

Doesn't GM hire any women design engineers to set these guys straight? I would offer my services to GM as a consultant. Rupaul is way too tall for the job. His legs are longer than me. I believe at 5'5" I'm about the average womans height minus an inch but about 25 lbs underweight. I could wear my J Lo "Big bumper II " series padded panty to make up the difference. It's quite stylish plus it helps me see over the steering wheel.

A $200.00 gift certificate to Lancome' cosmetics and I'm theirs for the week. Dinner and dancing with the CEO would also be nice but I'm just dreaming. Have a nice weekend ladies. Hugs
