Enfemme in Troy

This is my second trip to Troy Michigan. The first time here, I went out enfemme 3 nights. All three I went to the Oakland mall, to the movies and even out to dinner enfemme. I even chatted with the gal who worked the MAC makeup counter at Macy's.

This time I went to the Oakland mall, the Lakeside Mall, Target, TGI Fridays, Olga's kitchen where I sat facing some teenagers and finally a jean store ( can't remember the name.)

Tomorrow I plan on buying a camera, trying to get a few pictures which I'll scan and upload. Wish I would have brought my digital. Oh well.

I've never posted with my new wig and it is time for a change of my avatar.
I thought I would never buy womens jeans, but I have 2 pair now. Tomorrow I'll wear a pair of jeans, red flats and a feminine top. I love going out and it is so comfortable. I found I fit into size 12 jeans from Levi's and Ralph Loren jeans. Even a little loose as i keep losing weight.

My biggest problem is I exercise regularly and my arms are quite defined. I'm finding this to become more and more of an issue. I can't hold my arms straight (you see the muscle) or even the other extreme, hold them too bent, where you see my bicep really well.

Anyway, tomorrow I'm going to the mall again. I want a new ankle bracelet and I want to try on bras again. I now know I can fit a full figure 38C. the only way I would have known that is by trying them on! Plus, I found underwire bras CAN be very comfortable! I have so many bras now!

I'll post about my Thursday trip and hopefully have some pics next week!

Hi Carla--
There's not much you can do for the arms. I don't like full long sleeves on women's garments, as they usually aren't long enough for my arms if they fit elsewhere. So I've compromised by buying three-quarter sleeves, which women's garments have. Short of only going out in winter, there's no way to hide arm appearance from April to September. I don't wear T-shirts in girl mode, but I suppose they would help soften the biceps.

My arms have what I call a "Popeye" configuration--slender biceps, and wide forearms. I used to dislike this look when I was a boy, and tried to hide it by wearing long sleeves and then rolling them up. (My dad did the same thing, according to my mother.) This hid what I thought was the 'feminine' part of my arms, while exposing the 'masculine' part.

No matter how much weight-lifting I did, this appearance never changed. It's just the way some men are built.

Now I like that appearance when enfemme--I'm still broad-shouldered, but the slender biceps look OK with dresses. The straps have to be just right, though--too wide, and people's eyes go to my shoulders, and not my arms.

You can see this look on a video on YouTube. Go to the site, and type in "Ethel Merman Experience." The Harrison St. fair video shows the appearance I'm talking about; my arms are clearly defined.

As for trying on bras--it saves so much time and effort, not having to buy and bring back.

I had an absolute blast. First night I just dressed and went to dinner. I sat on a porch outside and although it was evening, it was warm I didn't feel comfortable. I should have opted to dine in. Not much happened, used my credit card without incident. I wore a jean skirt, pink short sleeve blouse and pink shoes.

Two nights later I went out again. This time I went with a dress, but I felt funny. I think it was too short, I noticed many 'GG' looking at my legs! It was above the knees but below my finger tips when my arms were straight. I tried on some shoes and had to be careful not to let my panties peek when bending. I bought some red shoes and changed to them after paying for them. I then went to JC Penny's and tried on various bras. I have so many, I didn't buy another but found 38C fit well if they are full figure. So now I know I fit from 38C to 42B! I did buy a new pair of jeans and a new blouse. I've been purchasing more and more warmer clothing.

All went but one time going up an escalator I overheard a teenage guy chuckle to his girl how stupid ? looked. I immediately thought they were talking about me. Maybe, maybe not but the short dress made me self conscious.

The following evening I again went out, had another blast. This time I wore a longer skirt, 3/4 length blouse and my red shoes. Love them, though they are cheap. I felt good this time. I also tried a green eye shadow, which didn't work as well for me. I like the beige's better. Bought more clothes, I'm so brave now.

I wish I could get away with going out once a week. I had so much fun.

Sorry for the long post.

Anita,
I don't wear T-shirts in girl mode, but I suppose they would help soften the biceps.
I like the sleeveless also, some times the veins in my arms pop out pretty big and that is such a tell tale sign. I will try to wear more short sleeves in the future.

One day I will write up beginners guide on what I've learned in the past 6 months. I think it will help some others when they are first starting out.
