it seems that I am ( good thing i have a only on sale rule or if buying more the one item at least on item has to be on sale )which ofcouse is what I bought today. My favourite store dynamite had there new capris in ,ofcourse I had too try some on. I shop early so I was wating for store to open & once the saw me they told me they were happy to see one of the regulars. One of the reasons i love the store is the manager & assitant are always helpful, picking out clothes , finding proper fit ,tell when something doesn't look good & when somthing looks great .So I bought a pair of capris & a pair of skinnys which i didn't need but were on sale for $10 so I had to get them. Now I just added two more pairs of pants to my growing fem collection & before I didn't have to think about what to were, now its what to wear takes 10-15 minutes to decide what to wear, o well i guess thats what the GGs go thought too ( so I guess I'm just being a typical girl) Stephenie G

It's definitly a thrill but I wouldn't go so far as to call it an addiction.
Glad you had fun.

No addiction, but when I do shop I try to make sure it's during a sale.

No addiction for me either, but I do like to shop. Love finding a great sale or deal on something I need or want. Some times I think the shopping for me can be a substitute for femme time.

I don't know if it's an addiction or not, but I do love to shop. Whether it is Wally World, a Flea market, an Factory Outlet Mall like the one I went back to today in Perryville, MD where I purchased several more pairs of panties, some bra's and a bright pink satiny tunic top, or the 30 mile yard sale the have Labor Day Weekend between Big Sandy and Holladay, TN. Talk about shop until you drop! You girls should come

Not an addiction for me either, just something I love to do. Funny thing is, even looking through a catalogue, it's only the femme stuff that ever catches my attention. Ditto when I'm out in stores. When I do have to venture into a guy's clothing store for that occasional 'need to replace' item, I feel out of place sometimes. Strange, but I guess that's life as a TG gal. Whether dressed or not, it just feels more comfortable shopping for what is more natural to me. And who doesn't enjoy shopping for pretty things?

This gal refers back to the establishiment of rolls in our existence. Men were the hunters and women the gathers, thus the term for humans = "hunter/gatherers."

We here are blessed with both addictions, we hunt and we gather.

I go to Goodwill ------------- Alot and it is the thrill of the hunt as well as the ----------- from the movie "THE MASK" "Somebody stop ME!" syndrome. The things I have gotten there, the leather skirts for $3.00 that would sell for $100.00's and the designer name blouses and some beautiful coats and hose still in their packages for .50 on and on!

As most of you have found the sizes between the different manufacturers vary greatly so a size 12 Gloria Vanderbilt jean may fit and the same size in Lee's or Wrangler are too tight or too loose, but you simply push your buggy into the changing room, nobody gives you a second look and you try stuff on until you find what fits in some given name.

I would also make sure to check out the clothes for spots and you can learn to determine if washing them or dry cleaning can make them look good as new and in a lot of cases they can.

The one thing that almost brings tears to my eyes (being a "larger girl") seeing some of the petite sizes that are OH SO sexy that I could not even begin to get into, but alas the hunt continues and the gathering and the trying on and "voila!" several nice, designer/brand name outfits and this girl is "good to go!! So you pay $20.00 $30.00 and have 4 or 5 outfits where new in the stores would be $100.00's.

OH, I might also recommend a "Discovery Shop" they are the outlet for the American Cancer Society. Unfortunately they price each individual item as opposed to Goodwill where every skirt is $3.00 and blouses are $3.50, etc. Anyway, our local Discovery Shop has jewelery and some of it is beautiful and does not leave green marks on you neck and fingers and it is relatively inexpensive and your "gathering" for a good cause!!!

Shop on ladies!!!

For me it's Ebay!! I can't help but look at vintage and square dance listings on Ebay every day. Haven't bought much lately, but I hardly miss a day of Window's shopping :).

Virginia,
I know what you mean when you say "Somebody Stop me" when I get into a Good Will or a Salvation Army. Every once in a while I'll get to the one in Nashville, TN that is right outside the exit from the T A truck stop where I sometimes have to take my break. Wednesdays are the best day to shop there because it's half price day. Love to shop for pretties every chance I get, and I may walk to the Outlet Mall here in Seymour, IN after while, I think the rain has passed.

Girls, I don't know about you, but with the rising cost of food and fuel, all I can say is bless those simple minded politicians for putting the check in the mail early. =D> Oh my, what a choice I have now, eat drive or shop. Well at least I'll be able to fit into some new things by cutting back on eating.

I have to resist and not go to the local GoodWill store too frequently - keep seeing the same things. Hard to resist, tho. Went the other day and came out with, among other things, a lovely, tan, silk blouse from Jones of NY - $2.00 !!! and it fits.

I go there and K-mart en femme. Never a problem. Unlikely to bump into anyone I know - but I still keep an eye peeled.

Hugs,

Lydia

I too like to shop for femme clothes. I love going thru the trift shops and buying long dresses with a floral pattern.

Not addicted here, but did buy a couple of nice dresses today. Since I don't get to dress and go out as much as I'd like it's not really an issue. In my case, the real issue is getting time.

I don't know that it's an addiction, per se, but if I don't get out every so often and replenish, what am I going to wear?

It seems every time wife and I go garage saling, I find something. This last weekend, I found two blouses, and a really nice Skirt Suit. I really like the skirt Suit. The skirt comes about 2" above my knee. LOL One of the two blouses I found at a different Garage Sale, looks great with it.
