YAY Bobie *-* //party *-*
Those first steps are exhilerating aren't they. I would suggest flats for those drives until you get used to the heels.

Good for you Bobie. One step at a time. Still vividly remember my first few steps out after dark. Nervous as heck, but the rewards are definitely worth those butterflies as you will see.

This may sound like stating the obvious, but when you go out for that first drive, just make sure you have a spare car key, enough gas and have your drivers license and ID with you just in case. I would occasionally forget one or more of those things and I remember how much it just added to my anxiety, especially when I almost locked myself out of my car one time.

I actually did lock myself out of my car one time. I stayed as composed as I could, walked into a clothing store and borrowed a hanger, went back to my car and tried to unlock it. A man came along and decided to help this "lady in distress" and asked for the coat hanger, which I gave him. He unlocked the car, and I thanked him. This was the closest interaction I'd ever had with others while dressed, and gave me amazing confidence in my ability to pass. Not all experiences that seem to be bad turn out to be bad after all.

A drive at night after dark will build up your self confidence. The next step is taking a walk in a park for a stretch from ypuir car. After that, a walk in a local mall. Stores and resturants next, little steps first.
Happiness is dressing to your innermost desire and feeling.

I once managed to lock myself out of the house and the only way in also set off the alarm. It took a few minutes of getting the courage up to "Break In" and quickly get changed in case the police came. It got the heart beating.

I APPLAUD AND SALUTE you Bobie. That is one small step for you and one giant step for all CDer's.

Keep up the fight, girl.

Have a wonderful day. =D> =D> =D>
