Another Shopping Trip

I posted a little about this Saturday night in the "Talk" section, but I thought I should say a little something in an on-topic forum. I went shopping Saturday afternoon/evening. I worked Friday night, so I didn't want to go out until I'd had a little beauty rest.
I got up around 1530, cleaned myself up and shaved. It only took me an hour to get myself cleaned up, made up and dressed. That's got to be a new record for me. I think it's partly to do with my makeup. In March, I started buying a new product, Lancome's Absolue Replenishing Makeup. It's liquid foundation, something I haven't worn a lot of, being a Dermablend girl. It's great cover though, and it goes on smooth and fast. It ought to, at $57 for a little jar.
My outfit was simple, just a turquoise babydoll top with short sleeves and straight-leg jeans. I wore black flat sandals. I know, me in flats?!? My last two shopping trips in heels killed my feet. I guess I'm learning.
I wanted to go shopping, but first I ran into Walgreen's to have some photos processed. I think I pass better than I thought, because a few people wouldn't have given me a second glance if not for my voice. While I was waiting for the pictures, I drove over to CATO in Churchland Shopping Center. This is not a chain that I'm really familiar with, but I'll definitely be shopping there in the future. Most of their tops and bottoms are $20 or less, and they carry a little of everything - clothes, shoes, bags, lingerie and jewelry. I picked out a pink and black print tunic top, a yellow print halter with a handkerchief hem and a pair of denim capris, plus a ring and a pair of dangle earrings. The staff were very helpful, offering advice on the right sizes and styles.
I went back to Walgreen's to get my pictures. I thought the guy in Photo was going to give me grief, because he asked me where I was coming from. I told him it was no special occasion. He said OK, and didn't press me.
From there, I drove to Chesapeake Square Mall. I didn't have any specfic plans for things to buy. I just wandered around for a bit in the air conditioning and window-shopped. I did buy some nail polish at Trade Secret. I got two OPI colors, "Makes Men Blush" (a subtle pale pink) and "I'm Really Not a Waitress" (dark metallic red), and an Essie color, "Wicked" (another dark red). On my way out of the mall, I went into Waldenbooks and picked up two paperbacks.
On the way home, I stopped for Chinese takeout for my brother and me. I've been in there dressed up before, so I didn't have any problems with the staff, and the other customers hardly noticed me.
All in all, it was a nice way to spend an evening.
