Self Loathing

I absolutely despise and disapprove all laws, legislation, or whatever that "gives" rights to the "trans community". These rights are inherent, they are not to be "given" or taken by anyone and it is insulting to me to think that ANYONE, but especially some government functionary, is worthy to suggest what I can wear.

It helps if you think of the laws as protecting your rights instead of granting them. I actually do appreciate the government clarifying that these rights do, in fact, apply to me and that they believe my rights should be vigorously defended. It's a measure of significant progress toward understanding and appreciating transgender individuals as valuable members of society.
