Fantastic Progress!!!

I have been working on developing a fem voice. Been working on it for close to a year. All those hours of trying to hit middle C in a tuner, working on reducing resonance, recording and listening to phrases and short paragraphs are apparently paying off.

I practice switching to the voice when answering the telephone when the caller ID suggests we are being bothered by someone we don't know.

Well not once, but TWICE today, the caller mistook me for 'the lady of the house'!!!!! I managed to complete a brief conversation with both (Yes, I did cast my vote this morning, thank you for the reminder. No, sorry, I don't have time to join the call chain to remind others. How is your summer going? Our life is pretty hectic right now, due to a massive remodel. That kind of stuff).

This is the first time I have pulled it off. In the past the caller was hearing a male voice, today they were not.

This is a nice achievement. I confess to feeling it's probably better than I could do. Perhaps that's why my initial reaction was "Wow, someone who's found a use for cold-callers".

Oh, that is exactly that, Anthony!! I consider it a community service to keep them tied up as long as possible so that they aren't bothering my friends and neighbors. It can be quite fun (when I have the time, of course) trying to get them to hang up on you.

Since I started practicing on them, I am getting the use of a sounding board beyond just entertainment and satisfaction.
