Who I am

Post by Bridget »

After reading through some of the posts with ladies saying what gender they identify with I started thinking about what I think about me.I have never been particularly feminine person and have always liked those things that are typically male, sports, women, jeans, flannel shirts etc. But I always loved being dressed up en femme and have thought about going out en femme since I left home @ 17 to join the military. So 37 yrs. later I have been going out, albeit in a very accepting community and only at night, to restaurants, clubs, and shopping and loving it.I am not a passable as a women but I as of lately don't care. If I were to put a label on myself I would say I am crossdressing/transgendered/bisexual/fun loving person and always been.I have had dreams of being a woman and having sex with a man,in the dream I had a vagina and breasts.Once I had a dream that I was having a baby. Sounds like I need therapy or someone to interpret my dreams.Well that was my rant for now.To everyone here thanks for giving me feedback when you can.Now I think I'll go paint my toenails :)

No you don't need a therapist or anyone to interpret your dreams Bridget. You are probably no different than many here and even if you are not who cares? As transgendered who has taken all the steps to expand my femininity it is not for me or anyone else to judge you or try to put a label on you. From the sound of your post you are happy with your situation so why worry about it? Just enjoy your life as you see fit as do I as everyone else should.

Thanks Diana, not worried about it but just trying to put into words something that I've only thought about before. I find that this forum has allowed me to do just that .In another post I made I said how nice it is to tell a good friend that I've known for years and hear them say they are 1000% behind my coming out to them. So anyway I think I am just on my soap box and cheering for myself. *-* Soon I hope I will be brave enough to go out during the day and feel comfortable in my shoes...I mean heels

Bridget I think we have all gone through what you put into words so well. I know I have been there and pretty much came to the same conclusions you have. Just accept it and enjoy your life, I know after I did that things were a lot more fun.

I can totally relate to what you are going through. Most of my dreams these days involve me having a vagina and breats and a man making love to me as a woman and just living my life that way. I think that its amazing that you go out dressed and someday I will get to that point as well, just have to get a few things to get to that point and then make it happen. Being feminine is amazing but as well I am a total jeans wearing baseball cap guy but if I had a choice I would be on hormones and dressing full time, perhaps someday.
